Jameis: “Competitiveness” Will Separate Koetter

January 29th, 2016
JameisPro5

Jameis is a popular guy in Hawaii, where he talked to Joe after Pro Bowl practice.

Joe’s got more from America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, at Pro Bowl practice in Hawaii.

Joe asked Jameis what specifically will make Dirk Koetter a great head coach.

“His competitiveness,” Jameis said. “He’s a great coach, one of the best minds I’ve been around. And I’ve been blessed to play with a lot of great football minds. I’ll fight for Coach Koetter any day.”

Jameis told Joe he has no idea what will change in his day-to-day relationship Koetter, but he is anxiously eager to find out when the Bucs return to practice in the first week in April.

Jameis said he’s been resting since the end of the season but will return to work after the Pro Bowl. He has yet to decide where he will train during the offseason.

Head back to the JoeBucsFan.com home page for more from Jameis. More later, too.

    From Twitter :

    Kenny Bell -@AFRO_THUNDER80

“Woke up to an email from the new headman that made me want to run through a wall!!! Can’t wait for this season! Proud to be a Buc!!!!!
    9:26 AM – 28 Jan 2016”

An email that made Bell want to run through brick wall??

Okay I’m trying to temper my excitement for next season. How do I do that when I read stuff like this?

Who is this “Kenny Bell” guy I keep hearing about.

Back to the business at hand, Im excited to see what Koetter/Monken/Winston can get established here especially with some quality WR help. I just hope we can keep a nice cohesive coaching group for years on out.

@1987… Afro thunder would’ve made a significant difference in this season… Glad koetter gets first crack at him
This new coaching regime is ready to ball…

I havent seeen really anyhing from bell, so i gotta take your words for it. But i do know we need a bunch of depth even if bell is a keeper. Im tired of our offense being limited to 1 or 2 wr threats. We need 5 wrs that can play and be part of the game plan every week. I love what Arians did with the cardinals. Two 1000 yard recievers, and another with 800. Then a bunch of guys with 300 or so yards. They really spread the ball around and utilized every single guy on the roster.

I just got a juicy scoop about the EK video, the vid that was shot in the room that night. Let’s just say – not guilty !!!!

  7. Trubucfan22 Says:

Last season the bucs had some terrible wr outputs.

    Evans 1206
    Jackson 543
    Humphries 260
    Murphy 198
    Dye 132
    Shepherd 28

We definitely need to find usable talent for our wr group. After evans there was a significant drop in production.

  8. DB55 Says:

I’d say WR is our biggest need. I know DE too but CB not so much I think Moore and banks can do the job.

  9. Trubucfan22 Says:

We need 1 stud DE, but 3 or 4 good WRs. Absolutely draft the best DE available. And then load up on WRs through FA and mid round picks.

CB problems will be fixed when we have a pass rush.

    DB55,
Where did you get your scoop and can you share your Intel?

  11. DB55 Says:

    Dave

I have a coworker who is an FSU alum. Her father is best friends with a high ranking official at the TPD. The official said that he viewed the video that was shot that night in the room through the broken door and immediately concluded that the actions were consensual. However, bc the video was shot without the permission of both parties involved it could not be used as evidence.

  12. Dave Pear Says:

    DB55,
Very interesting. I wonder if the high ranking TPD official can still give a deposition on what he saw?

  13. DB55 Says:

That would be excellent. I’m sure the person who shot the video will testify as well.

  14. Clodhopper Says:

“Immediately concluded that the actions were consensual”

She must be a screamer and a dirty talker??

Is this the footage that was shoot by another player, on his phone? I thought that was deleted!?

  16. StPeteBucsFan Says:

Who is EK? How quickly we can forget…if we just let it go. She’s a nonentity and no longer is actually relevant. She’s now nothing more than a legal footnote. We can truly forget about her. Vengeance is mine sayeth…..

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

Note to Mr. famous Jameis….You’d better get a Defense behind you next season. Or else fall w-a-y behind like you often did the last..trying to play catch up. You can throw for 4 thou a game. Make no difference if you cannot stop anybody. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

  18. DB55 Says:

    Bringbucs

I thought so too but I have no reason to think this person would lie about what she was told.

  19. The Buc Realist Says:

    @Mike Johnson

Thats why lovie is no longer here!!! Now they just have to coach the “lovie” out of these players and add just a couple!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell YEAH!!! I am about to bust a lung with all the Yeahs around my house…

  21. Mike Johnson Says:

Nott to Buc Realist….Not Having Lovie here does not equate to a better Defense unless of course..You are on drugs! Sounds like you are making..trump deductions..which is not a surprise here.

  22. SOEbuc Says:

For training if its not One Buc, then Plant HS in south tampa is always an option for offseason workouts. The Steinbrenners threw down $750,000 for that field and those damn kids get close to (or win) a championship every year
