Jameis Is Not A Judge

Jameis won’t judge himself. Now.

There are a more than a few players who are very aware how they are performing in the public eye. Some, too much.

Not America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winton.

When asked how he would grade himself after his first 11 games as an NFL quarterback, Jameis wouldn’t take the bait. Instead, he all but asked to get back to him in February.

“Usually, I go over my expectations after the season,” Jameis shrugged. “During the season, my goal is to put us in position to win. I don’t focus on myself. I focus on my team and what we have to do to be the best we can possibly be.

“I believe I have done an OK job. You can always do better. It is not my point to judge. I am not a judging person. I am not one to judge while the season is going on. That is for after the season to reflect and to see everything. Right now, I am more focused on gameplans week after week than the overall progress.”

This is how laser-focused Jameis is. He’s worried about getting to the task at hand, not whether he is a stats compiler. He’s more worried about wins than quarterback rating (statgeeks: react!). He’s more concerned his teammates improving than if he has five touchdowns or one.

In other words, that’s what a team guy is all about. That’s what a leader is all about.

That’s Jameis.

If this was a hollywood movie we’d all be screaming how bad the writing was because nobody says things so perfectlly. We’d lambast the writers for creating a larger than life character that doesn’t exist in real life.

Everytime the kid opens his mouth you just get more and more impressed.

Again 87 I see why you were such a freaking mad man leading up to the draft!!

You were right and it was not hyperbole of Seminole boosterism!!

H/T to you 87! You weren’t the only one…but you were the only one over the top and #3 has made you look like Carnac.

Yep, he is the real deal.

I just don’t understand why so many people seem surprised. He was like this at FSU and his coaches even said so. Jimbo said he was a leader, fun, just wants to win, is very coachable, always trying to get better.
I guess people were too focused on the minor little BS off the field crap – and it was minor immature things. The only major issue was the rape allegation which proved to be false and her story changed 5 times. I just hope that gets squashed because right now CNN is trying to air a documentary that is berry biased about it

I wanna see the real Jameis come out in a press conference at least once this year. He means what he says but he has so much more flair than what shows when he addresses the media. I know its not “his place” but I wanna see the Jaboo come out where he has the media laughing and he is up there clowning. That is the real Jameis!
