A matter of seconds after Jameis Winston threw his big third-quarter touchdown pass to Cameron Brate, this is what America’s Quarterback was doing.
Throughout the Bucs’ long offseason, Jameis Winston, America’s Quarterback, spent countless hours poring over film of Matt Ryan operating Dirk Koetter’s offense, when the duo were paired up last year in Atlanta.
Joe asked Jameis after today’s win about coming to Atlanta and finally seeing Ryan and the Falcons’ high-octane offense in the flesh.
Jameis said it gave the game extra juice.
“Man, this was just an honor playing against Mr. Ryan, and Coach Koetter coached him, so I kinda had a chip on my shoulder, ‘Ok, this is Coach Koetter’s quarterback, so we gotta get this win for Coach Koetter and [Joe Hawley],” Jameis said. “This was big for them. But I love Matt Ryan, still one of my favorite quarterbacks.”

Great win by the players almost squandered by poor clock management yet again. And this from a guy telling everyone to be patient after last game. Loving the win of course but that poor 4th quarter decision making really really irks me after flat out losing it for us last week

Jamie’s will be good qb I think but I don’t see great necessarily. If he could just be Eli good I’d be happy. He’s gonna throw a lot of Tds and a lot of picks. I don’t think he’ll ever be Peyton or Rodgers Bree’s level. Great draft pick though. He’ll get us some wins and be fun.

dreambig…yes I’m happy Atlanta gave us the victory today. No I don’t think Lovie gets more than 5 wins this season. I predicted 5-11 at the start of the season and I hope they go 11-5. The mere fact that I’m complaining about the HC after a win should actually say something in my book. It doesn’t say that I’m a whiny bitch or I’m not as big a fan as Lovie Lovers are. It says that there is still a problem with this team and that’s Lovie Smith. The win doesn’t change my opinion of him after last week when I saw too many bad in game decisions in this one too. It will continue too as the season goes on.

The Buccaneers definitely have the Atlanta connection with Dirk Koetter and Joe Hawley. Even on our side with Adrian Clayborn. He was injured every other year when he played in Tampa. Here he is half way through the season and playing well. Now comes the most difficult portion of this years schedule. Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Colts and back home for the Dixie Chicks where the Buccaneers will go for the division sweep. 9-7 works for me.
