Why It Is Kirk Cousins

October 22nd, 2015
Don't expect the Redskins to bench QB Kirk Cousins.

Don’t expect the Redskins to bench QB Kirk Cousins.

As Joe explained yesterday to his good friend “The Big Dog,” Steve Duemig of WDAE-AM 620, during the wildly popular JoeBucsFan.com hour, if the Bucs don’t beat the rotten Redskins and interception-prone Kirk Cousins, there is something wrong.

It seems the Redskins think otherwise.

In this CSN Washington video, Brian Mitchell explains why Cousins remains the Redskins quarterback. At least against the Bucs.

This ought to make Bucs fans bitter. Oh, but there is interesting if not positive chatter about the Bucs in this video, as well. Enjoy.

  1. Howard Cosell Says:

Cousins is not afraid of the piranha.

Howard hopes that Cousins gets his flesh eaten off his bones
(in a figurative, not-literal sense, of course)

  2. sick of losing Says:

This really scares me. Bucs have a history of making scrub-ass backup QBs look like Tom Brady. Lets get this one done and move on to bigger fish.

I rarely agree with Duemig, but agreed with him about questioning your opinion about the Redskins.
First of all, the Redskins have beat two teams who have a combined win total of 5. Our two teams came against a win total of three.
The Redskins played last week without five or six starters, two on the Oline including their All Pro LT Trent Williams and two in their defensive backfield. Another All Pro WR was out with a hammy.
You watch one game of the Redskins against the Jets and pronounce them a bad football team.
I’m pretty sure I know where your opinion is coming from, but I also think it displays a complete lack of football acumen when you make such a statement based off of watching one game and not considering the other factors.
Your conclusion sounds more like what DallasBuc or Touchdown Tony would think or say

  4. Strider.... Sec 146 Says:

Bullspit Bucs going to roll these skinheads

  5. bucsbedabest Says:

Brian Mitchell explains that the Bucs do not have a lot of pressure (Bucs are 8th in sacks?), the Bucs do not have a lot of INT (sure but the Bucs are 7th in FF recovered)? I guarantee GMC will pressure Kirk Cousins all day. Even coach Gruden said that GMC was disrupting them last year.

I agree with drdneastSays, that Washington is far from a pushover and if they get some of their injured players back, look out. What are the two keys to every Buccaneer win or loss? Jameis Winston and the Defense. When Cousins plays well, the Redskins usually win. Like the commentater said about Washington “they play with peaks and valleys”. Lets hope they stay in the valley for another week.

  6. Pawel Says:

This is not a easy game Joe

  7. Trubucfan22 Says:

Its a winnable game. Redskins are not a good team. They aren’t the worst team around, but lets not act like they are competing for a super bowl this year.

  8. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I think we’ll win this game…so long as we don’t play one dimensional and Winston keeps his mistakes minimal.

We were the worse team in the league last year. There is no other team that is worse than us until we prove otherwise. Let’s not just assume another team is worse than us…let’s prove it. Earn the props.
