“I’m Going To Do My Best To Be More Aggressive At The Catch Point”

Get after the damn ball like a wild tiger pouncing on a deer, Mike Evans!

Evans hasn’t had a stud outing in the last 10 Bucs games, but Evans largely brushed off that talk this week. He’s just working hard focusing on one game at a time, he said.

However, Evans sang a slightly different song for a moment during his Buccaneers Radio Network show on Thursday night.

Responding to a Bucs fan, Evans identified an aspect of his game that needs work.

“I’m going to do my best to be more aggressive at the catch point,” Evans said.

Evans hasn’t looked like a No. 7 overall pick since last November in Washington. That’s not just bad luck. With the Redskins likely down to backup cornerbacks on Sunday, it’s time for Evans to shut everyone up.

Joe has a good feeling.

Evans will be more aggressive at the catch point. Great idea, that will show them who is boss. If he is reaching for the ball he isn’t trying to use his hands to seperate from the defender. A win win situation. Use your height and ignore the tight coverage as much as possible. I’m expecting a productive game from Mike.

This reminds me of Braylon Edwards a few years back. Hope he dont start over thinking it.

  3. Danr Says:

if he is trying to catch the ball he isnt begging for the penalty. he has done this before the ball even got to him.

yes do this mike. I have faith in you. I am starting you this week in fantasy.

Mike Evans needs to go deep, if our offensive line can block long enough

Hey Mike!!! You still look good dropping balls if it means Dougie Musel Hamster Fresh is getting room to run balls in the faces of the opponent and we win!!!! Keep them honest ME your time to shine is anytime you decide young man!!!

  6. Bucfan951 Says:

Maybe he should stop looking for the flag every time a ball is thrown his way. Dude complains more than a basketball player

Are you crazy?!! Muscle Hamster?!! How dare you! He’s the dougernaut now. And if it means he’s back to rookie form I will call the dougernaut whatever the dougernaut wishes

I like the “pit bulls”? Sims and Martin have their game going, now its time for godzilla to to show megatron that he is going to be just as good. People are starting to hear about Martin and how well he is running but most people have not heard of Charles Sims and how well he is playing. IMO the best one two punch in the NFL. This team has potential. We just need players like Mike Evans, Lavonte David and Jameis Winston to show everyone, what they are capable of. Can you imagine this team when those players and Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Johnthan Banks, Ali Marpet and Kwon Alexander reach their full potential? Gerold McCoy, Doug Martin and Vincent Jackson are already there. Go Bucs!

Moar CBs can’t handle Mike Evans when he is aggressive at the catch point….so, Mike….good idea!!!

IF you watch a new england game or a a packers game. Those receivers fight for those catches. Its usually got to be pretty tough for them to drop the pass. Our receivers over the years have just dropped some of the easiest passes I can remember seeing pros drop. Hopefully as Winston (IF) so do the receivers.

All that time with Randy Moss did him some good. I wonder what they were really doing???
