Bucs “Sour” Enough For Sweet Win?

Could Lavonte David motivate the Bucs to rise up tomorrow?

Joe has beat the hell out of the season opening urinating-down-your-leg performance by the Bucs last week, specifically the way the defense didn’t show up.

Whether it was a failure of the players or a failure of the coaching staff or a combination, well, it still added up to vomit.

Perhaps, just perhaps, the Bucs were so sickened by their play last week, it may propel them to better things tomorrow in the Superdome in New Orleans.

One person who believes this is a “winnable” game for the Bucs is Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune, as he appeared in a TBO.com video with Olivia Stacey to talk Bucs.

“The Saints are not a great team,” Cummings said. “Let’s not lose sight of that fact. I think they are a very much like the Buccaneers. They are a team in transition a little bit. They are trying to find themselves right now. Their edge, probably, [is] at quarterback, but I’m not sure they have the edge anywhere else. Let’s see what happens.”

In fact, Cummings believes the Bucs are so “sour” from last week’s humiliation, it may just be enough to propel them over the Saints.

Mariota only completed 13 pass attempts. 7 were completed on our CB, 1 on our Safeties and 5 on the LB. Lavonte David had 4 passes completed against him (100%) for 3 TD? The question has to be asked? Can LVD cover?

Roy Cummings the eternal optimist. Joe, u should get him to write for you page. News flash Cummings: we got curb stomped by a 2-14 team.

    o.k. Is Buccaneer Sunday!

A new game is in front of them. Is time again for hope. We leave behind the venting!

Today, they will earn their money and show us real football. Coaches will give them their game plans which they will execute to the “T.” During the game, if they feel deflated they will think about their “paycheck” and get back to giving us the fans that spend their money and/or time 100% effort.

    Is as simple as that!

    Go Bucs!!!

Oh how I want to believe this.

Bucsdabest. He may have had 4 passes complete but the swarm tackling needed was not there. It’s not just on him.

  7. Lakeland Buc Says:

The worst stat is, we had a bunch of players tied for most tackles at 5. Yes 5 tackles was a team high, that’s how bad they played. There was miss tackles every where, it was tough to watch. Lavonte usually average 10 tackles a game, but he got half of that. But i’m still betting that we win the NFC South.

  8. BucTrooper Says:

    They’re SOUR after LAST week?

What was the mood after Atlanta, Baltimore, and two losses to Derek Anderson last year? If that didn’t put them in the mood, I doubt this will.

OK, It is Sunday morning and game day. I have been venting all week on here, so this morning it is time to be positive and hope for a win. Plenty of time for negativity later if needed.

Feeling the same ray jay…last week’s game is on the past, can’t waste time dwelling on it any longer. This team has got to be ashamed of that deuce they dropped on the Buc’s fan’s (and organization’s) head last week, it’s almost unfathomable to think they’ll be that ill prepared and flat this week!??? Note to Lovie…you need to cool your seat off NOW…you can’t rely on “20 million remaining reasons” as the sole protection of your job!
