Bucs Hold Almost Secret Night Practice

August 1st, 2015
Jameis Winston and the Bucs practiced tonight.

Jameis Winston and the Bucs practiced tonight under the lights.

Your Buccaneers delayed opening day of training camp by 2 1/2 hours because of rain. Then, they cancelled practice altogether and One Buc Palace.

But the Bucs had a backup plan.

Media was instructed the team would hold a private practice on the USF football artificial turf fields beginning about 7 p.m.

Man, it was pouring, but Joe was there and has plenty to share, including video.

After some drills and stretching, the Bucs came out with a lot of urgency on the offensive side of the ball in 7-on-7 work and in 11-on-11. Remember, there’s no pads yet. That comes Monday.

Stick with Joe through the night, as of this typing, practice is still ongoing.

Great, the Bucs can get practice for all the night games they play during the season. Is it a covered field, if not plastic is slippery when wet.
