Cross Off Mike Sullivan

Bucs fans love to conveniently forget Tampa Bay put the NFL’s ninth-ranked offense on the field in 2012.
Former offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan had such stunning and fast success, he got the first interview for the Bears’ head coaching opening after that season.
Well, we all know how that turned out. Sullivan went from stud to dud, with the 2013 Bucs offense ranking last in the NFL and averaging just 5.2 points in the second halves of games. That earned them an impotence score of 83.
Sullivan took a year off from football but emerged yesterday. He got his old job back. Tom Coughlin and the Giants hired him to coach Eli Manning and the rest of their quarterbacks.
So Bucs fans can cross Sullivan off their list of potential offensive coordinators.

2012 was obviously a fluke year for the offense, bolstered by Doug Martin’s mega runs against the Raiders and Vikings. We conveniently forget it like a one-hit wonder song by LMFAO.

And that is just fine. The reason that offense went from 9th to 32nd was because of no Freeman. It’s that Freaking simple. But Glennon and Schiano was the answer. And most idiots that post here want Schiano over Lovie. Lovie is fixing this team, it takes time. Winston is the answer.

Happy New Year everyone
They guy did well with the Bucs given what he had to work with. If you look back at that year, our division opponents were not nearly as bad as they were this year. Still he did the job and as a first year coordinator, put respectable stats.
He also came from the Giants who have a low tolerance for losing. Yeah Coughlin is on the hot seat but the last 10 years, he did bring them 2 Superbowl victories, 3 first place finishes and a Wildcard.
As we enter 2015, our Superbowl/playoff appearances seem like something out of a museum. Stories you could tell your grandchildren. 🙁

Sorry Realbucfan, Freeman took the escalator down and it hasn’t stopped since.
I remember seeing him on the NFL after game show after he just beat the Vikings. He was tense, anxious and unsure of himself in the interview after just beating the Vikings. When he should have been brimming with confidence, he was the opposite.
Switch to Blake Bortles. In his after game interview after beating the Titans, he was Confident, poised and brimming with optimism about the future after beating a 2-12 team.
I don’t know what happened to Freeman and I don’t think anyone else does. I don’t think it was Schiano either, who actually hired Sullivan to design an offense tailored to meet Freeman’s strengths.
