In this telling locker room video from Jenna Laine, of SportsTalkFlorida.com, Gerald McCoy answers media questions about the nut-kick loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Joe always loves when athletes talk in the third person, and McCoy does that here.

Yup! You got it JOE! Aunt Geraldine doesn’t stop. He doesn’t stop talking. There’s only one thing you forgot to mention. He’s the best $100 million 1st qtr DT in the NFL. Bar none. Give him time. Because just like the offense he’s still learning how to put a whole game together. Until then shut up Aunt Geraldine and prove it in the 2nd 3rd 4th qtr.

Give it a rest Ray Rice. McCoy constantly has microphones in his face with questions behind them and part of his job is to be accommodating to the press and answer questions.
McCoy has more sacks this year so far than any other Dtackle in the league and is one of our best players. WTF dude?
I know you love to vent and criticize players, coaches, owners etc. And of course this season sucks and anyone who cares about this franchise is pissed and disappointed – but aiming such ugly sounding criticism at one of the best players on the team who makes plays every week just makes you look ridiculous.
That same sentiment actually applies to a # of regular commenters on JBF come to think of it.

Been a fan for 27 years. Yes I’m disappointed. I am from Oakland California. Born and raised. Still live here. I still go to 4 games a season. The team support from me never stops. It isn’t criticism. They are facts. Yes. He is one of our best players. He is our highest paid player. BUCS need more out of him. It sucks but that’s the way it is. Kind of like Jon Gruden challenging the Savage D to score on Defense and holding them to a higher standard than the offense. It’s unfair. But if it’s your best unit (in his case best DT) then you have to ask for more to give your team a chance.

jj watts has about 5 tds this year. Geno Atkins started the 4th with a sack then made another play with about 4 mins left.
Don’t hate on Ray. If you can find a play made by GMC in the 4th or 3rd then post it. Until then get a big cup of water and swallow that big a$$ pill. Truth hurts. Sucks for you!!

You’re probably “That Guy” who gets wasted at the game and walks around looking for fans wearing opposing team jerseys taunting them and waiting to pick a fight. I’ll give him this, he didn’t jump offsides this week and he almost made a play in the 4th. Much closer than the past 11 weeks. He’s improving.

it’s just so funny that we paid him that kinda money the same year Watt signed his contract. What kind of numbers were the agent/licht looking at when they said “ya that’s the running price”.
Forget about Sacks (in a 3-4 system by the way) I think Watt has more TDs than any of our TE’s and WRs. If Watt’s play is the standard for that money, we’re getting robbed

Well…the TBBF was a season ticket holder in ’76…..yep & I wasn’t a ten year old then….so, I’ve been around. Doesn’t make me more of a fan or better than anyone…..just older…and frankly its no fun taking all the meds to keep me going.
I will tell you this…..I am a more avid fan now than I ever was….didn’t have a JBF back then…..no laptops or smart phones….no Direct TV Sunday Ticket….
Life is still good and to be a Tampabaybucfan makes it even better.

Between me and you, I lub me some gmc. Not has much as LVD, banks and barron I mean nvm. Obviously he’s our best dl, if not player. But, I sincerely believe big players make big plays in big moments of the game. He hasn’t done that so I give him chit in hopes that I piss him off and it fires him up.
