Rainey, McDonald & Foster Lead Wounded List

Three guys who missed the debacle in Detroit weren’t on the sunny fields of One Buc Palace today.

Official team insider Scott Smith was eager to share.

Joe suspects none of these guys will play Sunday. Rainey has an ankle issue and wasn’t playing much anyway. Foster has a dreaded Achilles problem.

McDonald (four sacks) has had a bad hamstring for weeks. Joe suspects the Bucs are happy to have McDonald sit and see what Williams Gholston and suddenly surging Da’Quan Bowers can offer as inside pass rushers.

So Gerald McCoy is okay after all? Or are they going to wait until game day to announce he’s not playing?

  2. gatrbuc17 Says:

If McCoy isn’t 100% I say he should sit. Same goes for David.

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

The only healthy Buc starter that should sit is Michael Johnson…as a matter of fact…..tell him (wink) that he has an injury and to stay in Tampa and watch the game on WTVT-13…..

  4. BoJim Says:

Let em sit and heal. No use chancing further injury over a lost season. Playing for pride is great but not at this point.

  5. MadMax Says:

I hope they sit McCoy….it would be a shame to lose our biggest most expensive star player to an injury in a season thats already over.

So we see who can play.

Good for Lansanah if he plays well, bad for Foster. I don’t see Mason returning at MLB.

McDonald won’t be right till next season but he’s done a pretty good job thus far. He’s the only early FA signing that’s been worthwhile. I’m certain Gholston is set to return as a rotation guy. Bowers will play way above his head…. it’s a contract year after all.

If McCoy really just have a bruise then he should play. The problem is who do you believe about the extent of the injury, GMC or Lovie? (Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking too.)

David’s case is different if he is undergoing the concussion protocol.

Make Michael Johnson inactive. Just for general principles.

James has been on the bubble all season. I don’t know why. If he doesn’t get some carries during the garbage part of the season. He’s long gone.
