Joe Talks Barron, Dome Dominance, Glennon, Player Evaluation & More

October 3rd, 2014

joemugshotJoe’s always up for talking Bucs, whether it’s at a bar, in the toilet, or on the white sands of St. Pete Beach.

Today, Joe got a chance to discuss all kinds of Bucs subjects with Ron Diaz and former Bucs guard Ian Beckles on WDAE-AM-620.

You can enjoy the chat below. Joe was happy to talk about being all-in with Mike Glennon.

@Joe – are you doing the rejoin announcement for the afternoon show? Sounds kinda like steve’s voice

I’m saying it right now, Doug Martin will show everyone that he is the dominant back that we saw in 2012 this Sunday. The last really good game Martin had was last year against the Saints when he ran for 144 yards on 29 attempts. And seeing that our O-line is getting better every week, i’m betting that we’ll see a repeat performance from the muscle hamster. Lets get’em Dougie!

@blake – I wish I shared your optimism for our running game. The line looked better partly because they’re getting it together but mostly because Glennon got the ball out pretty quickly. That doesn’t mean the run will open up necessarily. I hope you’re right because we need to control the clock but I haven’t seen anything that would make me feel good about it

Patrick in VA….also the line Martin ran behind before and did so good during that game is gone now.

@87 – I think I like your point better than mine.

Joe, how do you like Ron and Ian? Fun group huh? I like their show, pretty entertaining.

Yeah but its not as if the line from last was stellar. The Saints this year have been surprisingly week against the run, and this years line enabled Bobby Rainey to run for 140 yards against the rams, who I would argue have a better defensive front that the Saints. I also would argue that Martin is much more talented than Rainey, I think he’ll run for at least 90 yards and a TD.
