No fair, he voted for himself.

  2. NJBucsFan Says:

If Lovie does this, he learned nothing from his time in Chicago and should be fired.

  3. BucBob1 Says:

With Lovie being the boss, you can be sure Josh McCown will start.

  4. Pete 422 Says:

Any word on a Tedford return?

  5. insane Mclown posse Says:

If Lovie starts Mcown I’ll have to check out as a fan. Love my team but it’s just hard to watch us getting bullied around the NFL every Sunday.

  6. Bill T Says:

Not only is Glennon better than McCown, but the bigger and most important question is we have to see if Glennon can lead this team over the next 4-5 years. So this is a test…if he passes with flying colors, great…..if he fails, we will be in position to draft Mariotta, Hundley, Winston (ugh)

  7. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I put yes, just to tick off the MGM. Petty, I know.

  8. SteveK Says:

    Bonzai,

    lol, Freemanite!

  9. ToesOnTheLine Says:

    Bonzai

    (1) MGM is a JBF figment of imagination
    (2) Nobody cares enough about your, mine, anyone..heck even the Joe’s opinion to get that upset over casting a McCown vote 🙂

Play Glennon and see what they have at QB, draft as necessary next year

  10. Chef Paul Says:

Whatever it takes to win. I’m tired of planning on “next year” every stinkin year. I want wins and I want them now. Whichever QB gives us the best chance to win. Even if that means switching week to week based on the matchups. I dont really care who the QB is anymore.

  11. Skyline Crew Says:

If McCown starts I won’t watch the game. I’ll just read about it the next day.

  12. Buccfan37 Says:

I voted no because McCown looks better on the sideline, with that big smile, that rah rah enthusiasm and clipboard in hand. Lovie may put him in to prove a point, a point I have not figured out. In that case, I have to pull for the win whoever plays. Go Bucs!

  13. Fort Myers Dave Says:

Yeah, it would not surprise me if Lovie starts McNown; and its equally likely that McNown will let the Viking D win it for the Vikes via a couple more bonehead picks like he had before his injury…. Lovie has already robbed Glennon of a lot of first team reps this season and this probably has hindered his development….. It makes perfect sense to start MG just to see what he is capable of doing and help the Bucs front office decide if they need to target another QB in the upcoming draft but Lovie has publicly stated that McNown is his guy and he is stubborn enough to start the guy even if it leads the Bucs to a 1-15 record……

  14. Rob Says:

    bring back Freeman

  15. bucrightoff Says:

I voted yes because that’s the easiest, quickest way to get Lovie fired. He would be endlessly mocked and the fanbase would be disgusted by the move.

  16. Louis Friend Says:

Definitely yes. The QB of the future was hit on 40% of his drop backs. Better to let the cannon fodder take that abuse and preserve Glennon for a time when his line doesn’t suck quite so badly. After they fire Warhop.

  17. SAMCRO Says:

    Yes, start McCown!

It won’t take long for the Glennon detractors Shawn King, Derrick Brooks, and Steve White to backtrack on their negative opinions about the young QB. Plus, it only makes MG8 look better anyway. Everytime he steps in and shines only bolsters his case for being a bona fide starter in this league. Even, if it’s with TB or somewhere else.

Another thing to consider, If Lovie goes back to McCown, I wonder how many teams will ask for a trade for Glennon before the deadline?

  18. LargoBuc Says:

I will not watch any Bucs game in which McCown is starting. He should’ve been the back up all along and while Glennon is not free of sin, It makes ZERO sense to start McCown. We need to see what Glennon can do in this system in his sophomore year. Hell McCown doesn’t even give us the best chance to win!

  19. ruggyup Says:

Are you kidding me? Run a football team based on opinion polls. What the hell is this, the White House? Mr. Glazer needs testosterone therapy and the S&S squad needs an appointment with Allied Van Lines.

  20. buc89 Says:

Even though mccown made stupid picks, I think he’s still a better qb than glennon, assuming he stops making those stupid picks. I think we can win with either qb when the defense starts playing like they’re supposed to

  21. Trubucfan22 Says:

Bucs Fans who want to see the Bucs win want mccown. Bucs fan who want good draft position want glennon. Glennon is not ready. He needs time to develop. Let him sit and learn. I’m not saying he can’t be good, but right now he isn’t ready.

Can’t wait till we have a real oc. We need to bring in a Shanahan disciple who knows how to teach an offensive line how to run block. I had high hopes for tedfords offense but looks like we won’t ever see what he could do. And the current guy just isn’t good enough. Our offense is bland we need some excitement for this crappy offense.

  22. White Tiger Says:

Uh…can anyone tell me whether the OC that Lovie hired to call plays for Josh McCown, will be calling plays this weekend…or if the QB coach that the OC hired will be calling plays?

I think that has more to do with our offensive performance thus far, than which losing QB we deploy…

As near as I can figure, there’s not a lot of difference between 0-3 and 1-2…

  23. J 2.0 Says:

    Trubucfan22/White Tiger

Bucs fans who want the team to win want McCown? Are you mental? White Tiger can’t tell the difference between McCown and Glennon?

Ok let me break it down:

    McCown 0-3 420 yards 2 touchdowns 4 interceptions 65.8 rating 47.1 QBR

Glennon 1-2 865 yards 6 touchdowns 3 interceptions 86.2 rating 63.48 QBR (notice I left out ATL stats since MG8 didn’t start that game)

Also in his first 16 starts Glennon has 3473 yards 25 touchdowns 11 interceptions and a rating of 84.5.

    So there is that difference.

  24. Buc1987 Says:

“Bucs fans who want the team to win want McCown?”

I’m the exact opposite start McCown and let the losses pile up. Tanketh…
