Video Glimpses Of Bucs Practice No. 9

Fun times at Bucs practice. The weather cooperated in that it was overcast, which kept the high temperatures more moderate. Didn’t do much about the humidity, though.

There were some neat plays in the passing game made by Bucs wide receivers. A couple are highlighted in these videos below, courtesy of the Bucs’ official Vine account.

What gets me excited about this year is it is a perfect storm for success. This is the first year in VERY many years where there really hasn’t been any negative issues. Obviously it is the FIRST off season of the new regime, so not much to comment on. Although if you look at the chain of events, it’s easy to see why i have this excitement.

First they not only get a proven winning head coach but they got a home town darling in Lovie Smith. Then they manage to find (after a long wait) a competent GM who fits well with Lovie’s beliefs. The FA period was above average on potential gained versus money/player lost. Then you have a very unorthodox draft going all offense but for this team this year it worked. No player headlines for something bad in the news, and no real injuries up to this point. Yes we have a rocky O line but we have a savy, smart, veteran QB who can work under those conditions with the newly acquired receiving talent this should be cake for McCown. with Derrick Brooks get first ballot HoF honors, while Lavonte David (even after having a career year) got a pro bowl snub and has something to prove. This leads to motivation and inspiration to play at your very best this year. With Lovie the Tampa Bay Alumni have open door access to help mentor this team at any given time which will only help these young Bucs quickly grasp the intrigues of the Tampa 2 Defense. Again it is a perfect storm of events that can get anyone giddy for this up coming season. I see a lot of promise on this team. the key will be to put it all together every Sunday!
