Evidenced by the fact that Licht & Lovie have completely rebuilt the offensive line along with adding a TE that they believed Glennon and the offense suffered because of it.
That should mean that Glennon gets an opportunity to compete.
We will know by our draft picks if Glennon has a future in Tampa. If we pick a QB in this draft it is likely we will try to trade Glennon. My bet would be that we don’t.
My guess would be that our top two picks will be WR/CB and we will pick a LB or OL in the third round.

That was a pretty informative video from the Professor.

McCown is here to either push Glennon or mentor our future QB JIMMY GAROPPOLO!!!!

  4. Barry Says:

Why isn’t Jimmy Garoppolo’s name not Marco Garoppolo? Don’t parents have a sense of humor anymore? I mean why couldn’t we of had a President named Harry Bush? Dammit.

  5. DCVic Says:

If I were Mike Glennon I wouldn’t get comfortable; I see Bridgewater in the 1st if he drops or I hate to say this but Carr in the 2nd.

Could be wrong but it feels like the Bucs may go this route and if so; hopefully they can trade the Giraffe for a 4th or 5th.

  6. SuperGobaby Says:

Agree TBBF…Glennon racked up impressive statistics without a bona fide tight end, no capable wide receiver, the number one run ing back on the shelf, a porous offensive line, and an offensive coordinator that clearly was clueless.

  7. J 2.0 Says:

I am a borderline member of the MGM, but a full fledged member of the JGM JIMMY GARAPPOLO MOB!!!!

    JGM OUT

    @ tampabaybucsfan

you are so right thats why i get mad at joe and all this people when they say glennon is just a scrub

  9. Manzielski Says:

    Glennon is just a scrub.

The only reason to keep him is for holding a clipboard and grabbing rebounds on the Buc’s basketball team. While JF nails 3 point jump shots, one after another after another and the cheerleaders go crazy.

  10. lurker Says:

    glennon is a scrub.

poor accuracy, immobile, lack of skills. qb is still our biggest hole.

  11. Eric Says:

    @supergobaby

Wow, five Glennon excuses in one post.

    New record.

  12. zam Says:

What was it Glennon did so well? Other than not being Josh Freeman lol

  13. bee Says:

    DCVic I concur sir!

Glennon will compete with Bridgewater (hopefully) and McCown. Mike had 13 chances last year to cement his job which is more than some 3rd round QBs get. He’s not great at anything, ok at some things and horrible at the important things (mobility, pocket presence, accuracy). So we’ll see. My guess is he loses the QB battle in camp and gets traded or released.

I’m hoping that Shiano winds up as an assistant coach in New England, and his love for Glennon is strong enough to bring us a 3rd round pick in a trade.
