I know things are rough in Detroit but get a microphone that works. These two hacks sound like they’re whispering in church.

Andrew Luck is becoming elite…but I agree….Manning, Rogers, Brady & Brees are the only current elite QB…..and that’s out of 32…..

Does anyone else have glennon outside of being a top 10 QB in the league:

    Brady
    Manning
    Brees
    Wilson
    Romo
    Foles
    Luck
    Rothlisburger
    Newton
    Glennon

Question? These two nerds only leave their mom’s basement on gameday? Seriously, who cares what they have to say. Bucs won-Lions lost, see you later .

It’s still early in the career of Mike Glennon, so it’s difficult to rank him amongst other QBs, but each week I grow more and more impressed with his play. I think he has the tools to be a very capable QB for the Buccaneers and is indeed a prospect with great potential. With that said, it’s the QB the Bucs just faced, Matthew Stafford, that has me puzzled. I don’t know if he’s a good QB. He has the arm and the tools, but he seems to remind me of a more polished Josh Freeman that happens to have Calvin Johnson and a pass heavy offense to work with. Stafford frequently makes boneheaded plays and forces passes when rushed. For what it’s worth, yesterdays game looked like a cool, calm veteran QB (Glennon) against the talented but flawed youngster (Stafford) when it was really Stafford who has years of experience to Glennon’s half season or so. This is encouraging for Glennon, at the very least. This inspired me to list my own tiers of QBs, ranking sixty in total. By my count, I have four elite QBs and a total of 13 franchise QBs on the list of 60:

Tier 1: Elite (Hall of Fame): Aaron Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Peyton Manning,

Tier 2: Super Bowl winners: Big Ben, Eli Manning, Flacco

Tier 3: Franchise QB (Consistent production): Rivers, Romo, Ryan

Tier 4: Franchise Caliber (On the cusp): Luck, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton

Tier 5: The Calvin Johnson Factor: Stafford

Tier 6: Promising Prospect: RG3, Kaepernick, Glennon, Manuel, Tannehill, Foles

Tier 7: Middle of the pack: Cutler, Dalton, Palmer, Alex Smith, Bradford, Vick

Tier 8: Backup QB: Cousins, Josh McCown, Hoyer, Locker, Terrell Pryor, Ponder, Matt Hasselbeck, Schaub, McGloin, Fitzpatrick, Mallett, Matt Flynn, Jason Campbell, Case Keenum, Clemens, Thad Lewis, Matt Moore, Matt Simms, Matt Cassel, Kyle Orton, Henne, Tavaris Jackson, Josh McCown, Orlovsky, Chase Daniel, Tolzien, Tuel

Tier 9: Bust: Geno Smith, Weeden, Freeman, Sanchez, Gabbert, Tebow, Vince Young

  10. Cody Says:

Tier 1 (Elite) – Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers
Tier 2 (Great) – Rothlisberger, Eli Manning, Rivers, Flacco, Ryan
Tier 3 (Good) – Wilson, Luck, Romo, Cam, RG3, Kaepernick
Tier 4 (Solid) – Stafford, Dalton, Palmer, Bradford…

I really believe Calvin Johnson makes Stafford look a lot better than he really is…when u have a ELiTe receiver like megatron he can really hide your flaws…What Stafford does have is a really strong arm; most of the time he just heaves the ball up and Calvin jumps over 3 people and comes down with the ball…Lucky guy….

  11. Patrickbucs Says:

Watch GB game without megatron this year and see how good Stafford is. I grew up in Detroit suburbs as a Lions regular, they care all about the stats (Stafford fastest to I think 16,000 yards as a qb) mind u no signature wins against winning teams or playoff wins.

Megatron did drop those last 2 passes, Stafford is a very good QB for now with a laser arm and next to Zero mobility. They just be and Megatron to huge deals, Suh and others are up next. I personally don’t think you can be called elite until you win multiple big games and playoff games.

  12. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Number one qualification to being considered elite is a ring.

Then you look at the stats and method of play.
