Finally,.. through all this drama in the NFL media, I have been waiting to hear what I believe about the situation in Tampa Bay,.. This video expresses my view exactly!

  2. ShutTheBucUp Says:

Saw this last night, agreed with just about every word. level-headed analysis.

  3. Jordon Says:

Totally agree… The problem with Josh was never his arm, it was his attitude, his decision making, and his leadership. I want a QB with that killer instinct that refuses to lose and plays a smart game. Hopefully Glennon can be that guy!

  4. ShutTheBucUp Says:

    “longest neck in history” lol

  5. Architek Says:

Intangibles not tangibles. Very substantial video.

  6. bucrightoff Says:

Speaking of level headed analysis, Bill Barnwell of Grantland has a great analysis here. Freemanite and Freeman haters will probably agree its a very fair assesement.

  7. Walter Says:

    Hoping Glennon is awesome.

    Doubting it.

  8. zam Says:

Tim Tebow was a good leader too. If Glennon has the same poor accuracy and bad decision-making that he did in college and pre-season, then Bucs should try the Teebster and hope for a miracle. Or at least a high draft pick.

  9. Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Kind of concerned when Dominik said Glennon will be a good game manager.
We can not win with just a game manager, we need a real live QB.

  10. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

If the line is blocking, and Martin is Martin, we can survive a while with a game mgr. I don’t expect the guy to come in and carry the team and make line calls.

That’s the thing, Dominick loaded the offense for Freeman. It doesn’t need Manning back there. Sure, it’s thin at #3 and TE, but show me any offense that is stacked at WR#1-#3, TE, RB, and OL. There has to be $ for the defense too.

  11. Eric Says:

Dominik picks the guy and builds a whole team around him, then acts like he had nothing to do with it.

    Gotta admire audacity.

    Or is it narcissism.

  12. Cmurda Says:

@ Apple Roof. I have to respectfully disagree with you. Actually all we need is a game manager and a QB that avoids mistakes. Don’t mistake game manager for being average at best. There’s only a couple elite QB’s. A lot of people prematurely threw Kaepernick in that bunch and we are seeing as is my fantasy team that he is not on that level. Look at the 3-0 KC Chiefs with Alex Smith. He’s a game manager but he also makes the throws when he needs to. With the Eagles riding some momentum and coming back, the Chiefs had a 3rd and 8 from their own 15 yard line or so and he drilled a pass in there for a huge first down. Thats the kind of Qb we need. We dont need our Qb to be a constant playmaker or own audibles etc. like Peyton, just play smart, hold onto the ball, and make some throws.

    “Beaker!”

  14. mike Says:

    thats was all right on

  15. bucfanjeff Says:

What I like about Glennon is he’s smart. Masters in 4yrs is pretty damn good.

What I don’t like about Glennon is his inexperience. I’m hoping he learns quickly and his intelligence serves him well. As far as his accuracy….well, we’ll see…it was the same knock on Freeman.

  16. BucDan Says:

“Avoid mistakes and make progressions and we will be a contender. It was true of the beginning of the season and while we are in a pretty deep hole, it’s still true. Josh Freeman was unable to avoid the mistakes and make progressions. ”

Somebody posted this in another thread (and forgive me for not crediting your username as I forget) and it is spot on. Throw the ball to the open guy and let him make a play. Tom Brady “drove” the Pats down the field on 3-4 yard drags that the players took for 7-8 yards a pop. That’s how you MOVE THE CHAINS. I was astounded at the amount of throws that Josh was making that were down field. Just dump the ball off and let the PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER try to make a move.

I WAS a Freeman fan and want everybody that this team drafts to become a HoF and lead the team to the spoils of victory in the Super Bowl. I have #5’s jersey (stitched, game day no less…) and it pains me that I cannot continue to support his play (or lack thereof). The change needed to be made so that the team nor the fans could continue to harp on the horrid play of one player. Now the accountability, and possible excuses, are on the rest of the team. This move was a team awakening because we know where the majority of the blame was being placed. That person is no longer in the position to carry the blame. We better see some improvement this Sunday.

I hope this dumpster fire continues to the tune of 3-13 season. Otherwise the Bucs will go into 2014 with the Italian Stallion at HC and the Galloping Giraffe at QB. These last 10 years are starting to feel a lot like the 80’s/ early 90’s. It needs to get worse before it gets better.

  18. MakaveliTheDon Says:

lmao @ the neck references… (hope the guys got thick skin)

but hey, if he’s successful, he can get an endorsement for Bud Light Long Necks!

  19. Rahb Says:

    OK
Who are these guys to pass judgment???? Oh yeah, pile on Josh!

Hmmm, what is the scenario if “GooseNeck” Gets Blasted and as to miss a game or 2?

Josh has to go back out there and also “Risk Injury” without a contract????

Freeman needs to do whatever he can TO GET RELEASED! Act like an A-Hole, be late, show up drunk, etc etc… Get My Man Josh Off this Team, I hate to see him going through this

MY HOW FAST PEOPLE FORGET WHAT JOSH HAS DONE AND BEEN TO THIS FRANCHISE. WASN’T HE ACTUALLY IN THE MVP CONVERSATION MID-SEASON 2012? SMH

  20. buc4life24 Says:

    – Rahb Your little kitten holding MVP didn’t do anything to help propel our franchise into anything! Yes 2010 was a great statistical year for us that got us to the play…..oh wait…..nowhere, but false hopes and dreams!

I hope “your man” Josh gets a gig somewhere else and salvages his career, but he couldn’t get the job done here in Tampa! Save me the excuses, we have seen other QB’s do way more with less!!!

Go w/ your boy and get off the ship if you are going to cry and wine about a change in QB! Maybe you can help wake him up in the mornings or schedule his next photo shoot! Beat it!
