Belicheat Has Greg Schiano’s Back

September 18th, 2013

With the sharks circling around the Bucs as the team’s chase for a playoff berth has virtually blown up just eight days into the season, with the anti-Bucs management cabal doing its best to muddy the waters, one large NFL establishment type has come out swinging in Schiano’s defense.

And that man is none other than Bill Belicheat himself.

The Patriots strongman spoke to the Tampa Bay pen and mic club this morning and strongly defended the Bucs’ embattled commander.

The Bucs “are a couple of plays away from being 2-0,” Belicheat said. Schiano “is an outstanding coach. Does a great job with his team and his players. He understands the game and is very thoughtful, creative and is always looking for a better way to do things, always looking to improve and find a better way to coach, prepare or motivate. Personally, he is very well respected among his players.

“The Eric LeGrand situation, the way he has handled that has been unbelievable and a great look into the personal connection and devotion he has to his players and loyal to people in his program.”

Those are strong words coming from one of the better coaches to have ever stalked the sidelines in the NFL and, frankly, holds just a bit more weight to Joe than people from the anti-Bucs management cabal hiding in the shadows as unnamed sources with national media types.

Thank you BIll-But we gonna beat a$$ this weekend brotha

    GO BUCS!!

  2. ShutTheBucUp Says:

Unfortunately no one will care, or really take notice of Belichicks words. Schiano, for some reason, is the most hated coach in the NFL right now as far as the media is concerned. Theres a concerted effort to put out as much negative press as possible about him, and the Bucs. Not sure why, but thats the way it is.

  3. John23 Says:

    Classy.

  4. Sneedy16 Says:

It’s because Schiano is a carbon copy of Bill. Press hate those kind of coaches, because they don’t like their players out dealing with them. They can’t do anything about Bill because he wins, so they target the next man.

  5. chef paul Says:

I love reading LUVMYBUCS comments. You seem like the type of guy id love to smoke a j and watch a bucs game with.

  6. Patrick Says:

Has everyone noticed that the Bucs have been in the national press a lot lately?? A LOT more than we have in previous seasons. The article about us not being allowed to wear the creamsicle jerseys is on the front page of yahoo today.

  7. FLBoyInDallas Says:

And last year we were a couple of plays away from being 4-12. It goes both ways.

  8. Rahb Says:

Sure – A Dictator with SUPERBOWL RINGS endorsing a wannabee Dictator with a losing track record and player revolt.

Belicheat doesn’t have an office at One Buc Palace so his opinion means ZERO!

The “CABAL” has more insight of whats going on in Tampa than “Comrad Belicheat in Boston”

  9. bucrightoff Says:

He can’t make the offense any better with the current personnel. Like the defense when giving the personnel he needs, look what he’s done with it. With the right QB and a third receiving option, the Bucs offense will turn around as well.

  10. TrueBuc Says:

Don’t trust this man who uses shady tactics to get ahead. He uses schiano to get intel on overlooked rutgers players with nfl potential that he steals in the late rounds of draft. I dont trust the joint practice either. He probably had hidden mics and cameras all over the practice.

  11. TrueBuc Says:

Belicheck probably has more intel then talib and blunt combined.

  12. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Rahb

You don’t have an office at One Buc Palace so your opinion means Zero also….and before you respond…I’ll admit mine is also worth Zero.

I would however think (being the huge Buc fan that you are) that you would appreciate someone standing up for our coach.
Even if you don’t like him and want to get rid of him….he is currently our coach and should be supported until those that do have an address at One Buc decide otherwise.

  13. Yeah It's me! Says:

Exactly Joe! If you got proof than say so. In this 24 hr 7 days a week 365 days a year Sports Media ( and media in general) everything is blown into a big story to fill up all their time slots for all their football show’s is getting ridiculous. I expect it from some places like PFT but every show comments on some rumors and next thing you know it’s a huge issue off a rumor. Now all the local media has piled on (for ratings) making it look worse. All im saying is if any said media person (especially local) is gonna throw rumors out there you should have to back it up somehow other than saying an untold source said something about their coach or team out of 80 plus Players, Coaches and Staff. Nice to see B Belichick speak up and try to stop unproven rumors.

  14. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    @chef paul

Lol-Thank you Brotha, In my day- I could Chef (ooh wee) with the beast of’em.

    Remember Controversy SELLS!!

    GO BUCS!!!

    “anti-Bucs management cabal”

Can we elaborate on this? Saw the post that mentioned this earlier, but I’d sure like to know more.

  16. Stevene Says:

Bucs stink!!!!!!! 1-15…. Get a job people and get off this website

  17. Nick2 Says:

Joe, who is this anti Bucs management campaign? I keep hearing rumblings all over the radio and the other day I heard you on the radio and nobody will say who but it sounds like someone who doesnt want Schiano to gain total control. The only person I can think of is Dominick. Is that whats going on here? Is Dom sabotaging Schiano because he knows he wants to be HC and GM??????? If you can’t say it would be nice if you can give us a better hint.

  18. Trubucfan22 Says:

Belicheat talking up his friend. Big surprise.

It’s funny that belicheat and schiano have completely different situational football ideology. Belicheat goes for 4th and 2 with a lead and chance to end the game. Schiano doesn’t. Belicheat has a cut throat mentality. He doesn’t play scared. Schiano plays scared. If you give me the excuse that he doesn’t trust freeman, then he should bench him. It’s schiano’s team, if he doesn’t like something about it then change it. Once again proving he doesnt have the balls to pull the trigger.

If Schiano fails it is a very real possiblity that Dominik is out the door as well. So no way Dominik is working behind the scenes to Pearl Harbor his coach.

  20. K_bassuka Says:

Why wouldn’t Bellicheat support him, I mean that’s what he had to compete against. Bellicheat would be very happy if all teams replace their HC with other coaches as talented as Schiano is…

  21. TrueBuc Says:

Stevene, or should I say Steve NE, if we go 1-15, I pray to god that our 1 w is off your patsys. Your team isnt scary anymore and its on the decline. We’re on the rise. Once our coaches and players make amends and get on the same page, we’re dominating in the next 5,6,7 years.

  22. Northend Says:

Ok,All this negative shit just needs to be redirected and not bought into.I may be critical but I am a life long Buc fan who spent many empty Sundays in the sombrero and then drove 3hrs home after loss after loss. This is my Team!!!! Fuck You trouble makers. So again it’s us against the world and we need to as a fan base, community and team redirect or energy into supporting this squad.
We may not be perfect but we are a scrappy, hard ass hitting, thumping squad with a D of old.
2 losses not problem, lets go 14-2,12-4,10-6 make the playoffs and have the over sensationalized national media kiss our ass.Who cares about percentages, remember when we couldn’t win under 40 degrees, well how did the douche bag Eagles feel about that stat.
I am done ragging on this staff and weak play of some players.Heres hoping Freeman balls out,Def puts Brady on his Rich ass and we turn the vibe around.Go Bucs…….

  23. Buc1987 Says:

Just beat the Pats and the media will shut the hell up about a team they otherwise would never be talking about anyways unless the Bucs are 0-2.

  24. underdogs Says:

I am sick of the negative unfounded media stories. The Bucs could win the next two games and be 2-2 at the bye. Before the season started, that would have been a realistic prognostication. This team is close, and I am holding out hope.

  25. TBuc_40 Says:

Joe – You should also post the comment Bill said about Freeman.

  26. DallasBuc Says:

Joe- why was my last comment censored? No personal attacks on you or your 620 media partners as you wrongly accused me of previously. Just opinions and questions, not personal attacks, lies or “crimes”. What are you so scared of?

  27. BirdDoggers Says:

I think Belichik said more words about Schiano than he says in a years worth of press conferences.

  28. TrueBuc Says:

    @Northend

I agree. Im sick of bucs fan vs bucs fan. Im glad the medias ripping on us. It kinda brought us together a little. If we can just put off the Freeman vs Glennon nonsense to bed until a change is actually made or until the end of the year, lets just focus on the 22 on the field and back them up.

We have a good chance to beat a pats team on the decline, we almost won 2 games with horrible play from the entire team. So with crabtree back, possibly nicks and golson not going anywhere, we should be pumped!

    United we Stand! GO BUCS!

  29. Harry Says:

… And Belicheat puts his money where his mouth is when he says Shiano is a good coach… Belicheat has drafted many Rutgers players
