Darrelle Revis Talks Alley Fights And No Secrets

August 19th, 2013

The Bucs’ $1 million-a-game man, Darrelle Revis, explained for the 427th time that his status is day-to-day and he doesn’t know what tomorrow will bring, so Revis told media today at One Buc Palace.

Revis practiced more intensely today — he called it a huge step — and says he’s completely confident in his knee. So Bucs fans can and should remain hopeful. Revis went on to say he worked full speed against Vincent Jackson and that football is a simle game, “like an alley fight.” (Listen to the entire Revis audio below, via WDAE-AM 620)

It’s just what I stated earlier. It’s the media that wants him to play in the preseason. Revis didn’t say he needed preseason games but he did imply that all he needed was the reps in practice. I don’t expect to see him till game one. Watch the media get all worked up if he doesn’t take the field this next preseason game. Even after what he just told them.
