“His Work Ethic Is Off The Chart”

May 10th, 2013

Here’s another chance to get to know the Bucs’ 2013 fifth-round pick, defensive end Steven Means, the pride of the football powerhouse State University of New York at Buffalo.

Means and his family opened up to a Buffalo TV station after the Buccaneers drafted him. (Damn, still scant leaves on the trees in Buffalo.)

lol Joe. Yeah I’m in Rochester and the leaves just popped out last week. You guys are spoiled down south! Anyway, I really like this guy and hope he can make an impact right away.

They say he’s gonna play def end. but at 260lb and hearing schiano’s comments, I think he will play some kind of hybrid pass rusher on third downs. He seems to have the drive and aggression on the field to make an impact. Hope it works out for us.

I hope this guy gets to room with Freeman during training camp.

Other than Revis, I am not sure there is a “lunch pail” guy like this on our team.

    Great stuff!

I love to see a young guy full of enthusiasm and it seems like this guy has it! I spent most of my career as a corporate trainer and I’ve always said that you can teach a lot of things, but you can’t teach enthusiasm and attitude…they either have it or they don’t. Seems like Steven has that drive and energy to want to make his mark in the NFL…I wish him the best and welcome him to the team!

Wow what a tremendous interview. I wish the kid all the success in the world. Definitely a buccaneer man.
