Most Mistakes Of The Year

October 21st, 2012

Greg Schiano took responsibility

The leader of the New Schiano Order shouldered plenty of responsibility for the Bucs’ loss today after leaving the field as a 35-28 loser to New Orleans.

Greg Schiano made it clear the Bucs made the most mistakes they’ve made all season against the Saints. Schiano cited pass coverage errors and pass-rush issues and said, “It comes back to coaching.”

The mistakes, coaching and execution, are why Joe wrote earlier that the Bucs took a stop backwards today, after progressing steadily through every game of the season in many aspects.

Perhaps the best thing about this loss is the Bucs have no choice but to let it go. They’ll be on a plane to Minnesota on Wednesday for a date on Thursday Night Football.

The good news, Freeman showed why he will always be the franchise QB.
The bad news, the defense couldn’t get the job done.

    hey joe,
can you write an article explain the mike williams disallowed touchdown that ended the game?
the commentators said that it should have been a touchdown because he came back in and set his feet before jumping up to catch the ball but it was disallowed.
    Thanks
    Sam

rutgers is a clown. Enough said he’s proved it today.

  4. Yar Says:

Three Blount carries from the 1 and nothing. Don’t ever let Blount touch the ball again.

  5. Patrick Says:

It’s horrible to swallow the fact that this team could easily be 6-0 right now if not for four blown losses.

  6. Mavsmoney Says:

Joe… How about talking about that last play and bring it to a rest? I realize one play didn’t lose the game but c’mon man! What’s the rule book say? Was heriera right? I feel like we got robbed and I want a god damned explanation! If the ruling was correct ill be mad at freeman for not going option

Someone give Monte Kiffin $20 million and bring his ass back here!!! Has defense has sucked ever since he left!

Coming. Joe just finished talking to Williams.

  10. Sam Bithrey Says:

There are 5 reasons that might have cost us this game:

    1) The defense never got pressure on Brees in the 1st half
    2) Schiano callled a high school play to get the Saints to jump
    3) V-Jax not finding another gear to get to the end zone
    4) The play calls down on the 1yd line after Jackson’s run
    5) Letting Blount and Benn remain on this roster

Pick the one that fits your fancy!

  12. tj Says:

I don’t get how they call illegal touching earlier but then they don’t call it when he is pushed out the end zone after 5 yds . Missed call bad call

    Tough loss indeed.

The Bucs’ depth issue is going to start showing more and more now. There are no quality guys to spell McCoy and Bennett to keep them somewhat fresh. You’ve got to win in the trenches and they didn’t.

Brees could carve up a secondary full of Deion Sanders and Ed Reed clones with all that time in the pocket.

Good job against the run but you have to rush the passer in today’s game to be successful especially against guys like Brees, Rivers, Ryan, Manning…

I hope Schiano & Co can figure something out soon.

Nice to see #5 play a fairly complete if not dominant game, just would have thought/hoped that kind of day would lead to a win.

They need more talent on the offensive and defensive fronts as well as the secondary. I could see them being a upper echelon team in the next few years if they stay the course.

Tough test coming against Minnesota in a few days followed by a trip out west. We’ll see what they’re made of.

    Go Bucs!

I have been a Buc fan since the first year of the franchise and have suffered these creamsicle uniforms for longer than I want to remember. I know it does not make any difference and is superstition, but can we bury these things already! It seems like we never play well in the throwbacks!

Come on Bucs! Get the win on Thursday night! (Back in the pewter and red)

  15. AtlBucsFan Says:

Stupid defensive scheme against the best QB in the league. Schiano should take the blame.

when Schiano talks most mistakes, does he include coaching mistakes as well. great game from Free, what happened to Connor, he was cluctch earlier
