Bucs Missed 11 First-Half Tackles

October 1st, 2012

The leader of the New Schiano Order would not make any excuses for the Bucs’ poor tackling against the Redskins.

Greg Schiano told media today he had some theories why the Buccaneers took a step backwards in tackling Sunday but, he said,  they don’t matter. The Bucs have to tackle, Schiano said emphatically.

“In the first half, we missed 11 tackles, Schiano said. “We dug a hole, 21 points.”

Joe agrees. The Bucs have to tackle. There are no excuses. Too many stiff-arms. Too many easy shake-offs and bad angles.

That written, Joe sure would like to hear Schiano’s theories as to what went wrong.

The very presence of Rah in the stadium and the Bucs can’t tackle anymore. Maybe they were hoping if they let a Redskin by, they would get a celebratory chest bump for ole times sake.

  2. Patrick Says:

I think Raheem snuck over and put something into the Gatorade on the Bucs sideline

or maybe went pregaming with them the night before.

The defense being on the field for 20 minutes in the first half had something to do with missed tackles. That is what happens when offenses go 3 and out several series in a row.

  6. Jessup Says:

Only 11? I thought we missed 11 on Morris’ big TD run alone!

  7. Buc Fan #237 Says:

Yes aj… the defense gets really tired with Freemans inability to sustain drives… oh how I suddenly miss Brad Johnson and Jeff Garcia now. At least those guys could sustain a freakin drive to give the defense a rest.

  8. Buc Fan #237 Says:

Also, whats up with Freeman never throwing to a receiver passed the first down marker?

  9. Mikefree7 Says:

Anyone have a video of barron separating the ball from rg3 at the goal line?

  10. Eric Says:

It’s only through a string of bad luck and misfortune that were not 4 dash 0.

But, if things don’t work out we might want to pry Ray Perkins from Jones Community College. We’re running his offense anyhow.

I re-watched the game on NFL Rewind and I think the tackler that hit RGIII at the goal line was Ahmad Black. I could be mistaken so get another opinion.

Thanks macabee. I’ll look into it the resolution on the site I was watching on wasn’t all that great
