Mark Dominik On Brian Price

July 27th, 2012

This morning, Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik appeared on “The Sports Page,” co-hosted by Rick Stroud and Tom Krasniqi heard on WDAE-AM 620, which was broadcast live from One Buc Palace.

Obviously, Dominik talked training camp and what players Bucs fans who attend the practices should keep an eye out for. But Dominik also discussed the Brian Price trade yesterday.

“Everything we do as an organization we take time to make long-term decisions for this football team. It is all a book when you put it all together. Yesterday you could say [the conditioning tests] was a combine but a combine is not why you draft a player. We made some decisions yesterday based on this football team not just on the short term but the long term, what is best for this football team.”

Dominik went on to say how he feels for what Price is going through personally and how he has had to battle a major freak injury, but at the end of the day, Dominik said he had to look out for the Bucs first and Price second.

It’s obvious Schiano is in total charge and Mark is holding on as long as he can. Maybe he won’t make it till the end of the year.

  2. Oregano Says:

Sounds like those conditioning tests have devastated the team leading to several injuries to key players. Lingering injuries. Great idea.

Maybe next we can have agility tests where they take a dagger and stab between their fingers at a brisk pace. How about testing their courage with a revolver with only one bullet in it, spin the chamber, point it at their temple and pull the trigger. That will weed out the sissies that refuse to buy in.

Uh oh when Rock starts talking about “long term” look out for severe suckville.

It’s the second cousin to “lasting contender”.

I confess to being worried about DT depth but have to assume for now there are other options the Buccaneers are onto. We don’t see these guys practice or how they looked all off-season.

Of course bitter jack wagons like erica and 2.whatever know better than that.
LOL They continue to insist from their laptops they know better than the professionals who are with the team every day.

I would not be at all disappointed if someone kicked th…….oh never mind.

    Buccaneers in 2012?

    Can’t WAIT!!!

    @ Oregano

If they cant run some sprints without getting injured then we’re in big trouble.

Way to bitch about something just for the sake of bitching about something, good grief cry baby.

Did somebody call me a jack wagon?

  8. Mike J Says:

”It was real simple. New coach Greg Schiano didn’t want Price around and the Bucs didn’t want to risk an injury for him in training camp that could put them on the hook for his contract this season.”
