7 Reasons To Attend Joe’s Blowout Draft Party

April 10th, 2012
Bud Light anyone?

You can watch the NFL Draft at home, or you can let loose your inner football fan in a big way at Joe’s opening night draft party at Pete & Shorty’s in Pinellas Park. Here are 7 reasons to be there:

1) Dream atmosphere for the draft-lover – In addition to the smell of beer and beef in the air, NFL Draft guru Justin “The Commish” Pawlowski will be there breaking down the draft live through most of the party via 1010 AM and the Pete & Shorty’s PA system. You’ll also be able to watch the draft on the stunning TV viewing at Pete & Shorty’s — NFL Network and BSPN. They have it all — indoors and outdoors. You can also get all multimedia with their top-shelf WiFi.

Look for Joe and former Bucs defensive end Steve White to be there and pop-in with The Commish on the air through the night. Joe also will be announcing more special guests associated with your beloved Bucs.

2) Cold affordable beer, full liquor and great meat products – Joe can’t say enough about the pork tenderloin sandwiches and Shorty Burgers and more at Pete & Shorty’s. Pork shank anyone? Yeah, they have salads and veggies for the healthy types.

Bud Light is sponsoring the party and there will be great drink specials flowing. Stay tuned for more on those.

3) Bud Light girls – What’s a party without girls? Even if they’re getting paid to be there and wear naughty yet tasteful outfits.

The action heats up at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at Pete & Shorty’s on the corner of Park Boulevard and 49th St. in Pinellas Park. Just a mile west of I-275.

4) Uninhibited draft fun – While Joe doesn’t endorse mayhem and violence, Joe and Pete & Shorty’s fully expect fans to stand up and cheer, boo, belch, etc. A good Trent Richardson-Morris Claiborne argument or two is sure to break out.

5) Jersey giveaways – There’s probably some communist law that says Joe can’t say what jerseys will be given away, but Joe’s got three good ones to dish out, plus the hard to find 2XL Sabby Piscitelli model. (Goat not included).

6) Easy parking. No need to rush. — All kinds of free, legal overflow parking at Pete & Shorty’s. It’s all common parking areas in the CVS parking lot and plaza next door. Also, Pete & Shorty’s will stay open until midnight, or later if the crowd wants to keep the party going.

7) Joe’s going to be doing it all over again on Saturday (Rounds 4-7) on a somewhat smaller scale.

    5 Reasons not To Attend Joe’s Blowout Draft Party:

    1) Non-stop fawning about the “rock star” job done by Dom since 2009;

    2) Revisionist history lessons regarding JBFers opinions of rahrah morris as a head coach just 5 months ago;

    3) Classes on how the entire public is out to “shake-down” the very sweet, nice and honorable Aqib Talib;

    4) An explanation to the audience about what it means to be “disruptive” when you have justb 30 career tackles, 4 sacks, numerous penalties and IR stints in 2 seasons.

    5) Stubborn and unimaginable discussions in defense of the Glazers as legitimately trying to win over the last three years.

    Thomas, must you urinate on everything? Do they not have toilets at your esteemed law office? — Joe

  2. Vince Says:

    I’ll be there Joe, now that I know Thomas is not going. 🙂

    I thought you were going to say the picture is reasons 1-3. In no particular order.

    I guess my invitation has just been revoked.

    Just kidding Joe, settle down. I am sure that the event will be a lot of fun, I encourage everyone to attend and have a great time.

    BTW – I do appreciate the objectivity in presenting articles about expert opinions that are not fanatically positive, such as the previous Gerald article. That article captures the general consensus on Gerald.

  6. JT Says:

    I will go just to see the disappointment in Joe’s eyes when we dont draft Clayborne…

  7. ArkansasBucFan Says:

    Joe, I realize this has NOTHING to do with your draft party (which I would TOTALLY attend if I still lived in Tampa) but do you have any insight regarding Butch Davis leaving his consultant role with the Bucs to take over a Top Ten NCAA HC position for a school that recently fired their cheating, motorcycle-crashing, volleyball-player-wooing coach?

  8. Thomas Says:

    ugh, I think I need to change my name so no one mistakens me for 2.2!

  9. Drew Says:

    Loe… LMFAO on the urination comment.

  10. Drew Says:

    Meant Joe not Loe.

  11. Cmurda Says:

    @ Firethecannons. I was thinking the same thing. I was about to say that I only see 3 reasons to attend the party.

  12. Have A Nice Day Says:

    @Thomas You shouldn’t have to change your name just because 2.2 is a no talent ass clown.
