SI.com Is Wrong, Bucs Did Not Sign Lofton

Turns out SI.com was wrong. Read last paragraph.
Joe is going to preface this upfront: Joe has not been able to confirm this.
But in a free agent tracker on SI.com, it lists that Dixie Chicks middle linebacker Curtis Lofton has signed with the Bucs.
Again things are flying fast and furious and Joe has to tend to believe this only because it is SI.com (Sports Illustrated) and a publication of such renown would not pump out such pap if it was untrue.
Joe can only hope this is true. It’s a win-win: stealing a starter from a division foe and getting a starting middle linebacker.
UPDATE: The SI.com tracker was corrected and Lofton is still free; unsigned. Below is the incriminating evidence from before.

Stroud is the only person that is downplaying the signing. Multiple other sources report that the Bucs signed Lofton.

As of right now, King removed the “Signed with: Buccaneers” comment.
