Part II: Shaun King Blast Of Dominik, Team Glazer

January 5th, 2012
“I’m feelin’ the vibe from Shaun’s core beliefs, and things of that nature.”

Last night, Joe brought you Part I of former Bucs quarterback Shaun King’s passionate radio rant against the firing of Raheem Morris and on the current state of the Bucs.

Of course, Joe wouldn’t deny you Part II of this historic tirade.

Check out the audio below, courtesy of WQYK-AM 1010 and Justin of The King David Show.

  1. Matt Says:

The more he opens his mouth, the more it becomes apparent why he was booted of ESPN.

  2. sandbagrudy Says:

Yeah I’m afraid to Brother and I love this team to I do I do I do I do I do believe in spooks I’m cowardly lion scared of who and what happens

  3. Tj Says:

agree matt he sounds like a bitter old women.

  4. Some Dude Says:

Its pretty asinine to think, let alone claim on the radio, that mark Dominick would pick a head coach based on the conception that the coach would always defer to Dominick on roster matters. Mark Dominick’s job at some point soon will be tied to how well his roster can perform, so why would he screw himself by picking a less qualified coach?

Shaun king names 3 bad contracts (Black, Ward, & Clayton). That’s it, really? How can anyone complain, we still have more cap room than almost every other team. This actually makes Dominick sound pretty good.

whats wrong with drafting d lineman? Mark Dominick has fared extremely well in the draft thus far, once again I see little room for complaints.

Shaun claimed it would not have been better to lose close? Simply untrue, Raheem would likely have a job if we continued to lose close at the end of the year.

    Glazers being cheap- dead on

No improvements to roster after last year- good point, I questioned this as well

reiterated a few of his good points from yesterday

Why does Dominick get all the flak for the Rudd, Black, Caddy, & Clayton contracts. As if Rah had nothing to do with evaluating these players.

His rant was much more convincing yesterday.

  5. AK Says:

I do agree with a lot of his comments but his “Yeah, we won a Superbowl but whatever!”, was remarkably…ridiculous.

  6. Amar Says:

Thanks for uploading this. Really enjoy listening to Shaun King, please keep it up Joe.

  7. Joe Says:

Joe will be happy to upload any audio a sports radio will offer up so long as it is interesting Bucs takes. There is only one station that seems willing to take Joe up on this offer.

    You are welcome man.

  8. raphael Says:

blah blah blah Shaun does 2 things alot…..EAT and run his mouth

  9. Patrick Says:

Guys, Shaun King is right. He makes very good points in the tirade against Dom and the Glazers.

Keep uploading the sports audios Joe! Enjoyed it!!

  10. Bob Says:

Shaun King is a JOKE and [Whoa man, no need to call someone out about their drinking and gambling habits. — Joe]. I don’t know why little hands gets a voice on the radio. He is a obvious [Take it easy. — Joe].

  11. Mean D Says:

This must really eat Joe up since Joe man worships the in over his head Mark Dominik.

  12. Fish Says:

Joe, approximately the last 7-10 posts regarding Shaun King’s perspective have been easily dismissed as ignorant and ridiculous garbage which I have ignored. I usually love your posts, but all this attention to Shaun King’s crap just deflects me from the individual posts. I know he stirs things up with his absurd and outlandish comments, but please – lay off the attention-grabbing gibberish. I know you want to gather more viewers, but please don’t do it at the expense of your own validity. He’s proven himself as a moron and we all know it.

  13. k1ngAdroc Says:

Thanks for the audio, Joe! Rah always spoke about how he would include MD in any deliberations regarding the team. I have to say that i didn’t really hear MD step up to the plate and say he played that big of a roll in the team. Kind of side stepped responsibility in my eyes.

I don’t want to speculate why people make ignorant/personal comments about King… Because he has a different take than you?

I’m still confused about the QBlack signing… when he was signed, everyone thought it was Rah’s guy… Now it’s learned that was all MD?

  14. Jonny Says:

Shawn has some valid points. Mark and Rah were in it together and its unfair to just hold one of them accountable to all failures this season.

  15. ZanyZack Says:

“Expense of Joe’s own validity?” You gotta be kidding @Fish … It’s not like SHuan King is a sideshow freak. He played for the Bucs relatively recently and has a voice in the market. If Joe didn’t share some of his takes it would be like FOX NEWS never having a democrat on the air. You need them to expose stupidiity. Just because King makes no sense half the time that doesn’t mean he’s irrelevant.

  16. k_bassuka Says:

I think the Glazers gat it wrong on this one and should have cleaned house including Mark Dominik, but it is what it is, the only thing I can do as a fan now is brace for more years of top draft picks. The only thing I don’t get is they preach that they want to build a winner like the Steelers and so on but the question is exactly how is that going to take place because right now it doesn’t look like anything those type of teams do.

  17. Sooner in Tampa Says:

Shaun King is the an angry short fat former QB!! Why anybody would give him 2 seconds is beyond me.

His little hands and big gut should be kicked off the air…he is NOT objective in any way shape or form. He is blinded by his manlove for Raheem

  18. raphael Says:

exactly Sooner..and if Raheem was white, Shaun would be all over him

  19. Ben Drawbaugh Says:

I thought Dunn, Sapp, Lynch etc left because there wasn’t enough cap space to pay them what they could make elsewhere? That isn’t exactly leaving because of money, it is leaving because the NFL rules prevent you from keeping them.

  20. crazy Says:

The Glazers kept McKay after hiring Gruden until the GM they wanted became available. Don’t be surprised if history repeats itself.

  21. Sooner in Tampa Says:

Ya know raphael…I have been thinking that for sometime now…

  22. k1ngAdroc Says:

As per Lynch, he was never offered a contract by the owners. zip – huge mistake by the Owners and GM…. Friendly fire was no longer friendly!

Sapp and Dunn were both willing to listen, and nothing came of it. (Sapp was getting really bad press at the time, too. Much of it his own doing but many a unpopular vet is signed due to need…. see Albert Haynesworth!)

G-men didn’t want to work contracts out at the time b/c they wanted to cut this team apart and make it profitable, and well “positioned” under the cap…. WAY under. If you couple that with the draft picks we gave up for Gruden, it’s no mystery why we are where we are as an organization.

No one knows the history of the bucs better than MD, and when we did have some pieces in place and had some success (on a shoestring budget) he/ownership didn’t aggressively go after the key players we needed to be a championship franchise.

I think King is asking, why should we trust that they will do it now???? Because they are forced to spend $$ due to the new CBA? Rah’s timing sucks, or he wasn’t given the full arsenal to be successful… whether or not those variables would have changed anything, no one knows, but don’t hate on King for pointing it out.

  23. mike Says:

cant we just bring back rich mckay

  24. below me Says:

the whole show sounds “cartoonish” much of the time, which takes away from the occasional valid point. you savvy?
