Bobby Fenton Is Frustrated

November 27th, 2011

One reason Joe so enjoys Bobby Fenton, aside from his sarcasm, is that Fenton is a voice of the fan. He is a regular at Bucs home games and Lightning home games and is not a stranger to the Fruitdome either.

Fenton, a proud graduate of the University of Florida, rarely misses a Gators home game either.

But he admitted during the monologue of his Sunday night show, “The Free Stretch,” which can be heard until 8 p.m. on WDAE-AM 620, that he nearly lost his cool he was so aggravated.

In short, Fenton is fed up with football after watching his beloved Bucs and Gators each week.

“I don’t have the will any more,” Fenton said. “It’s the weekend of Suck and will be treated accordingly. We have to look at other things in our life to pick us up.

“I don’t have the will any more, I just dont have the will any more, to watch aboslute crap week after week after week.”

Fenton then went on to describe just how frustrated he was watching the Bucs loss to the Titans this afternoon.

“I was watching the game on my laptop with my baby in my lap,” Fenton said. “I could have thrown the baby against the wall I was so frustrated but I didn’t. I could have thrown the laptop like a frisbee against the wall, but I didn’t. It’s too valuable — not as valuable as the baby.

“I guess I could have thrown the remote against the wall because [Out House] would have given me a new one.”

I am already planning my monster slot car racing layout…After all, not like I’ll be watching football Sunday afternoons in January.

I normally like Bobby and his takes.

He is way off in his take that the org will not consider firing rah until after next season bc he is ignoring the major decline in the fan base that is happening now.

The most adamant rah supporters have realized that this guy is hurting the team – nobody will buy even cheaper tickets if rah is the coach.

  5. Mr. Lucky Says:

If the Glazers don’t fire Rah at the end of this season there won’t be a fan base for 2012 so it won’t matter how much you lower ticket prices.

In addition the Bucs will be competing with other teams looking for a new head coach: San Diego, Jacksonville, Minnesota and Washington

If Fenton is upset he should talk to Joe , and Joe can tell him how “talented” the Bucs are.

HAHA this is great, i had to close my laptop and put it down because i almost broke it twice at the end of the game. Some changes DEFINITELY need to be made to the coaching staff, I think if Rah wins a few down the stretch he will be safe but only him. Hopefully he is given an ultimatum of get new coordinators and stay or walk out the door with them

as for this team having talent, they definitely do, however they simply aren’t consistent. What can help that is a few veteran players, an upgrade or two, and the right coaching. We have already done the hardest part of rebuilding, by gutting this team and bringing in a bunch of young guys and new players, now we need the right people to build them up and help them out. So far, the coaches are proving that they cant help a team or individual players progress on a consistent basis. The only second year player that i can think of who has improved and not regressed at all is everyones favorite battering ram BLOUNT.

been saying this all year Bibby….why in the world after how we suffer through some of the worst heat in the country would ANYBODY waste their beautiful Tampa Bay fall on the Bucs…
Sure I’m a fan, I have them on the radio when i’m en route…other than that…if the owners don’t care why should I…if anything this economy has reset priorities not only with your wallet but also in life…wasting away your rare days off on boys and leadership that is laughable is not something I care to do anymore….
