Hey, I agree with most of that.

…expect Matty Lice…he goes about #14 on my list.

…..and nice to see Freeman getting Bolshevik props.

  2. thegregwitul Says:

[Wait till you get home then. There’s a reason Joe spends time posting videos: So people watch them.]

  3. Nate Says:

I think freeman is better then most these quarterbacks… If there was a GM draft.. i think most gms would draft freeman ahead of matt ryan! Vick hasnt done anything imo.. Freeman controls 4th quarters! He is the comeback kid!

  4. Theodore Says:

Yeah Joe, tell us where he ends up. Just because school starts this week doesn’t mean you can give us homework.

That’s why I read JBF. Clicking on links to other websites is too much work for me.

  5. Jrock Says:

Theodore, sarcasm or no? Just can’t tell.

On Topic: I can’t argue with this assessment, but I would put Freeman where he put Big Ben, or at least right below him. #10? Better than missing the top 20 altogether! (Flacco, Eli, Sanchez, Bradford, Schaub!)

  6. Jrock Says:

missing top 10* Aish these fingers never seem to get slimmer, just fatter

  7. Jason Says:

    1. Brady
    2. Manning
    3. Rodgers
    4. Brees
    5. Rivers
    6. Big Ben
    7. Ryan
    8. Freeman
    9. Vick
    10. Schaub

  8. 1BUCFAN Says:

I agree with most of this assessment. However, Vic has not accomplished anything in this league other than hype and Romo is the ultimate choke. I would move those two down. Looking at Ryan and what he had to work with compared to Free and our young team, I think Free out performed Ryan in both of last years games. I would have Free in the 7 slot for this poll.

  9. Joe Says:

Watching a BSPN video is homework???

  10. pass the blount27 Says:

seeing matt ryan at #6 makes me want to vomit.

  11. Teddy Says:

Sitting through the BSPN commercials sure feels about as painful as homework.

Freeman at #10 seems about right at this point to me, although I think their bias is showing on Romo at #9 and Vick at #7.

  12. joshp Says:

behind big ben and romo??? put freeman on those steelers teams and they would have still one super bowls

  13. CannuckBuc Says:

I know this has nothing to do with the top 10 QBs video but has anyone else read Micheal Lombardi’s article on coach Ra and how poorly he has handled this loss . This guy just doen’t get the coach. Please somebody else read this crap and tell me I was wrong.

  14. QBMAN Says:

What you must realize is that these QBs have been in the Playoffs. Pepole want to put Sanchez down but the Guy is a winner and has been to the AFC Championship game his first 2 years. If and When Freeman takes this team to the Playoffs then he will have a case

  15. Leighroy Says:

Lombardi has a pretty interesting take actually. This is something Joe needs to look into…

  16. Max Says:

Matt Ryan does not belong on that list. Nor any top 10 lists.

  17. Mr. Lucky Says:

Ok I’m going to be the one who tells the king he has no clothes on. Freeman has a great year in his sophomore season – but so did Schaub.

Matt Schaub should have been ranked before Big Ben and Freeman.

For you Matty Ice haters just look at Ryan’s numbers: last year 28 TD/9 INT 3700 yards compared to Freeman’s 3450. Plus Atlanta had a tougher schedule than the Bucs.

Look guys it’s nice to be a fan but for goodness sake don’t be a HOMER (Doh!)

  18. Eric Says:

That remeinds me, how many times has the rock stars team defeated the Falcons?

    lil hazy.

  19. Jon L. Says:

Bunch of Matt Ryan haters here. Let’s see…who took their team to the playoffs last year….oh yeah…Matt Ryan! Ryan over Freeman anyday.

  20. Wienaman Says:

Just read on PFT that Stylez signed with the Vikings, and that Talib goes in front of Goodell tomorrow…#1 isn’t really Bucs news (though Stylez sitting on his butt waiting on a phone call wasn’t either, lol) but surprised #2 hasn’t popped up on here yet as a story; is it late enough that Joe won’t be posting anymore today? I get a little off time-wise sometimes, living two hours behind in Colorado.

  21. MOBucs Says:

Yep, Talib looks like he’s screwed! Hope Freeman is a top 10 talent again this year cause he’ll have to carry this team.

  22. Architek Says:

Romo and Ryan: Check their pulse…Weak heartbeat

  23. Brandon Says:

At what point do we stop calling Ryan a “young superstar”? The dude’s 26, he’s about as good as he’s going to get, he’s pretty good, but he’s definitely not better than Roethlisberger. Look at what Freeman has done at an age that most QBs are entering their redshirt senior seasons…

    1) Brady
    2) Manning
    3) Rodgers
    4) Roethlisberger
    5) Rivers
    6) Brees
    7) Vick
    8) Freeman
    9) Romo
    10) Ryan

  24. Pete Dutcher Says:

I’m think it’s accurate except for:

    1) Vick should not even be on the list. He started strong last year, but then returned to his old self the second half of the year.

    2) Freeman should be ranked #9 because of that.

I don’t have a problem with Ryan being ranked above Freeman. If we’re going by current level of development, it’s accurate.

But if we’re talking best potential, I wouldn’t rank him worse than #5, and probably better.

  25. mpmalloy Says:

    Matty Lice sucks.
He has limited mobility and small-average size.
    He lacks Freeman’s cannon.
    he lacks Freeman’s mojo.
Lice plays on a good team with Roddy White.
I could get an 85.00 QB rating on that team.
    …and yes…..I can’t stand the Falcons

    Freeman >> Matty lice *2
(Freeman is much greater than two Matty Lices)

  26. Mr. Lucky Says:

What’s wrong with you guys? Matt Schaub is a better QB than Freeman at this time. And while I think that Freeman IS a good QB when you look at his entire body of work Matt Cassell and (UGH I hate to write this BUT) Mark Sanchez has four (4) PLAYOFF WINS ON THE ROAD! Flako has done well also

Now given the above mentioned QB’s the only one I’d take BEFORE Freeman is Schaub – in a NY minute. WHY?

Look at the last preseason game – WHERE WAS FREEMAN? He was lambasted, pressured and how did he respond on the sideline? Hint – it was a lot different than how Brady interacted with his teammates. I chalk that up to Josh being young and not mentored properly his first season.

This season, in my opinion, will really show everyone what Josh Freeman is made up of. WHY? The defense, in all probability, is going to give up lots of big/broken plays, meaning that in order to win the Bucs are going to have to rely on the offense to pull out the win(s).

I HOPE that Freeman can live up to a #10 QB ranking

  27. pass the blount27 Says:

the reason sanchez “has those playoff wins” is because of the jets defense, stop kidding yourself. had freeman been on the jets they could easily have a few rings. Furthermore, matt ryan has roddy, a HOF tightend (no disrespect to k2, i love k2) and a hell of a run game. give any QB those tools and they will be successful. he’s not diserving of #6 though… he got raped when it came to crunch time against green bay.

  28. Nate Says:

Id take freeman anyday over matt ryan….

  29. SebringSmitty Says:

    UM…what video ?

  30. MikeBucFan Says:

That is such an awful ranking man. Matt Ryan and Vick ahead of Big Ben? Gimme a break.
    1)Peyton
    2)Tom
    3)Brees
    4)Rodgers
    5)Rivers
    6)Ben
    7)Romo
    8)Schaub
    9)Ryan
    10)Vick
11)Josh——I can’t put Josh ahead of these guys because he’s only had one good season. I know he’s going to be better than Romo, Ryan and Vick, but you’ve gotta give the proven guys their due diligence.
