Brian Price “Look Like He’s Pissed Off”

Joe’s raved about Brian Price earlier based on his own observations at Bucs training camp.

And the media hounds were all over Raheem The Dream today to talk about his new defensive tackle, even one reporter asked if he was better than Gerald McCoy.

Raheem The Dream shared a little insight this afternoon from Price’s teammates into how well Price is doing.

“It’s nice when offensive vets come to you and say, ‘Hey, man, Brian Price got something to prove. Look like he’s pissed off he got picked in the second [round]’ and things like that. It’s always a good sign for us.”

Raheem The Dream went on to praise McCoy. “He’s doing well. He’s got a serious demeanor,” the head coach said.

Of course, Raheem The Dream had some love for Roy Miller’s weight loss, Dre Moore and Ryan Sims.

Everyone gets the love this time of year.

You know, if the Bucs would just video tape the practices, edit a released version of all the action, I’d pay $5 for it. They’d probably get a lot of people paying 5 bucks for video taped practices over the net. I mean think of the sheer amount of people that would sign up for that?

Not to caution everyone about this Price hype, and I was one who actually liked him for his value at where he was picked.

But on a competitors website they have camp diary from Styles G. who shed some light on some what spectators are seeing from Price.

He said Price doesnt know where he is going in terms of scheme so he is just running around, he also said that Price doesnt yet know what drills are done at less than full speed, so he looks like he is playing faster than some vets – that is b/c he is – the vets know it is not a full speed drill,it is a technique drill.

Styles did have some positive stuff to say about Price but overall it was mostly what I just paraphrased.

@Thomas Thank you. This is the closest answer I have received to the question: Is Price really owning or is the OL playing weak.
It seems odd that Price is doing so well but no one has spoken of the OL play. Thanks for that little tidbit of info. I don’t know how true it is but at least it is something. Thanks again.

  4. Mauha Deeb Says:

    @Javier I’d pay $5 a day.

  5. Javier n Wimauma Says:

    Maybe not a day……. maybe $5-15 a week?

    And the bonus would be:
-You don’t have to sweat (:-))
-You don’t have to watch all the stretching
-You don’t have to watch ALL the boring drills (maybe some exciting ones)
    -All you get is action

People would be all over this stuff. Let people comment back and forth about chapters of the video too. Would make for good conversation. I’d def like to hear Steve White break down some footage TBH.

I would love to hear from Steve White on Price and Styles’ diary article on the competitors website if of course he isnt too busy,

Teams do video tape their practices but will never sell them. AFKM. Their competitors would snatch them up and study them. Teams do not want opponent’s scouts at their practices and do a lot to keep them out. Selling video tapes is a nice idea for a fan, but it is like giving detailed information of your battle plans to your enemy. Nice try though.

Bucs D will makes some plays and show up with attitude….unfortunately they’ll make key mistakes too that will show up as a game day L….but this is where they are in the “identity phase” and as a day one guy…this season has a chance to become an epic starting point…..I am tempered by age…. this will be an eye opening year…..
great time to buy season tickets….Joe
now just draft the best damn stud RB with your first pick in 2011

  9. Radio Mushmouth Says:

Thomas : this is about what I figured was happening.

Not saying Price won’t be good , but anyone getting overly excited because he is flashing on the 1st days of camp is an idiot.

The saavier vets are saving thier legs ,because they know training camp is a long grind in the florida . Meanwhile, this young kid is acting like every drill is the SuperBowl.

Let’s see how he looks when the real bullets fly.

  10. Trguy12 Says:

White did basically say what Thomas said
although it was more brief. His next line
though was that he thinks Price will be really
good. Can’t wait to see these guys playing for real.
Might be the Bucs optimist in me but this year feels
much better with the young talent.

  11. ac3 Says:

yeah…why in god’s name would the bucs sell practice tape?

  12. BigMacAttack Says:

    Rudy, Rudy, Rudy…..

  13. Fire Greg Olson! Says:

Whether or not Price is playing the “after school all-american role” or not. His intensity will pay off by making GMC and Roy Miller compete that much more.

If Ryan Simms is “saving his legs” he might end up out of a job….

  14. Joe Says:

I would love to hear from Steve White on Price and Styles’ diary article on the competitors website if of course he isnt too busy,

    Patience Thomas, patience.

  15. gotbbucs Says:

That’s almost comical to hear that Styles White is talking trash about Price going hard in practice since that concept is almost foreign to Styles. The knock on him since he came into the league is that he shows absolutely nothing in practice, so of all people, he should probably keep his mouth shut. It rubs me a little bit the wrong way that a guy who has accomplished absolutely nothing in the NFL can call out other guys on the team, especially those that are working their tails off.
As far as Price goes, he is doing exactly what ever coach has ever told him and that’s to go 100% even if you’re not quite sure where you’re supposed to be. If you’re going to make a mistake, at least make it going hard. Effort and intensity is contagious, so hopefully other guys will see him going hard and feel like they need to keep up.
    Keep it up Price!

  16. Radio Mushmouth Says:

The League has gotten word of Price’s 1st 3 practices , and Goodell has ordered that they begin work on Price’s bust for Canton.

  17. eric Says:

“Identity stage” and epic “starting point”.

    “Somewhere over the rainbow
    Way up high,
    There’s a land that I heard of
    Once in a lullaby”.

  18. Javier n Wimauma Says:

Ummmm… why are you guys hating on rookie DT Price???????????????

Joe is just excited about good football… even against second team defenses…

Get off my man’s back and root for the hard working underdog.

  19. Mauha Deeb Says:

@gotbbucs Look at Stylez White’s stats then try again with the “guy who has accomplished absolutely nothing in the NFL ” nonsense. He has been an absolute beast in his 3 years in the league with minimal play. I take Stylez words closely since he is a QB pressure beast. He has been constantly over achieving since we’ve had him.

  20. gotbbucs Says:

Mauha Deeb, does he have a season with double digit sacks? “Absolute Beast” isn’t exactly what I think of when I see a guy who’s averaged about 6 sacks a year from the Right DE position. QB pressures don’t get it done.
