Draft Countdown: Packers

April 2nd, 2010
Another linebacker in 2010 for the Packers?

"Another linebacker in 2010 for the Packers?"

Joe messed up yesterday, a technical blunder. The daily Draft Countdown didn’t get posted for the beloved draft coverage subscribers on JoeBucsFan.com.

In honor of Joe’s screw-up, Joe is making it available to everyone. The countdown is a daily analysis of each team’s approach to the 2010 draft from NFL Draft guru Justin Pawlowski.

You can catch all the draft coverage right here. The written tight ends and quarterbacks are coming soon.

Enjoy.

Excellent summation by Justin about the Pack. What will the Packers do in the draft? Who knows, as Ted Thompson is usually very low profile about what he may do in the draft. However, there may have been a tell tale sign the other day about what he may do. Texas and USC had their Pro Days the same day. Most scouts, GMs and coaches were at the Texas Pro Day. However, Thompson went to the USC Pro Day. Thompson struck gold in 2009 with Clay Matthews from USC, and I’m sure he would like to see it happen again in 2010. I’m sure Thompson was watching three guys with keen interest. OT Charles Brown, S Taylor Mays and DE/OLB Everson Griffen. I wouldn’t be surprised if Thompson picked any one of those three guys in the 1st round.
