What To Make Of The New Tim Tebow?

February 22nd, 2010

Some (naive) Bucs fans are of the mind the Bucs should draft Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.

Some football insiders suggest Tebow’s mechanics are so subpar, it’s enough to bring a grown man to tears.

As a result, Tebow is undergoing a transformation of sorts to his throwing mechanics in order to become an NFL pocket passer.

Will this be enough to change the minds of NFL scouts? Will his hot American Idol girlfriend from St. Petersburg care?

These pressing questions and other NFL nuggets are answered by WDAE-AM 620 personality and NFL draft guru, “The Commissioner,” Justin Pawlowski in his blog. If you like Pawlowsk’s stuff there, you’ll love his work here on JoeBucsFan.com.

Find out what you’re missing. Hint: it’s a lot!

If the rumors that we are trading Josh Johnson to the Rams is true , then I wouldn’t mind picking up Tebow in the 3rd round and grooming him…assuming we still have a third round pick.

I was thinking that same thing when I heard about the Rams interest in JJ. Plus one never knows if Freeman is going to work out in the long run, so having another guy who might develop is a good plan. Perhaps Olsen could work Tebow into the offense, especially near the goal line.

    Joe,
Tebow is a good kid, and that picture doesn’t do him justice. He has 1 Heisman trophy and 2 Championship rings. NFL QB aside, he has left quite a mark on College Football, and you could have found 100,000 photos that better represent his accomplishments thus far in his career.

Come on BigMacAttack. You know Joe is a sarcastic MOFO!

    Humor my man, humor!

Look, Joe even included a link for those to admire his hot American Idol girlfriend.

The photo fit the post perfectly!

  5. Marc Says:

Excuse my language, but who the hell wants us to draft Tim Tebow?!?!?!?!

  6. Eric Says:

Were going down in flames anyhow, so why not draft Tebow? What exactly have we got to lose at this point?

Plus, can you picture the Dream and Tebow conversing on the sideline! Freaking priceless!

Seriously though, I think the kid is getting a bad rap, hell Leftwich played in the NFl, and look at his throwing motion………………….

  7. adam Says:

if you want tebow in the draft, he wont fall to you…..someone will make a move and go get him….after a certain point in the first round….meaning late first someone is going to make a move to snag timmy boy……adam from ny

ps if he is sitting there in the 2nd round the bucs should probably grab him at some point

  8. JoeBucsSteveCampbell Says:

Not only should the Bucs not draft tebow, they shouldn’t touch a QB anywhere in this draft.

I’m not a big fan of Johnson’s game, but he’s an ok #2, I guess.

I would still rather have a veteran as a backup, though.

  9. Eric Says:

My interest in Tebow is only if JJ gets traded to the rams, in the fantasy deal that has been discussed.
