Hard to dispute Derrick Brooks being named to the NFL's All-Decade team for 2000-2009.

In the first decade of the 21st Century, three Bucs players were among the NFL’s best:

Ronde Barber, Mr. Derrick Brooks  and Warren Sapp.

The honor was announced yesterday at the Pro Bowl and no three Bucs were more deserving than Barber, Brooks and Sapp.

Sure, one could make a strong case for Mike Alstott, John Lynch and perhaps Simeon Rice. But when one thinks back on the terror that was the Bucs’ defense, the NFL’s best defense for the decade, Barber, Brooks and Sapp are names that always jump out at you.

Kudos to all three.
