Raheem The Dream In “Unstable” Condition

December 17th, 2009
Who says Im unstable?

"Who says I'm unstable?"

No, to the best of Joe’s knowledge, Raheem the Dream is healthy and vibrant. His tenure as Bucs head coach is something entirely different.

That’s the gist of Clark Judge’s piece of the status of certain NFL head coaches on CBSSports.com.

In Judge’s view (not to be confused with Mike Judge or Matt Drudge), Raheem the Dream very likely has dug a hole for himself he may not be able to climb out of.

Unstable

Raheem Morris, Tampa Bay:
Everywhere I go I hear the same refrain: This guy is in over his head. Well, no clue, Sherlock. He was a 32-year-old secondary coach one year, a head coach the next. Jim Zorn couldn’t make the jump, and now it looks as if Morris can’t, either.

All I know is the guy opened the season by firing his offensive coordinator. OK, a little odd, but it happened in Buffalo and Kansas City, too. But then he fires his defensive coordinator during the season. Wait a minute. A coach fires both coordinators in his first year on the job … and in their first years on the job?

What in the name of John McKay is going on? Trust me, the Glazers would like an answer, too. Reportedly, they’re embarrassed by the way Morris is handling the club, and I can’t imagine they were all that enthralled when one of his players said he thought Morris was “a little bored” with the job. Hmmmm, imagine how bored Tampa Bay fans are.

In nine games this year the Bucs produced no more than seven points in the first half, and last week they not only didn’t score in the first two quarters, they produced 15 yards. Pathetic. If Sominex needs a spokesman I know a head coach it can contact.

I always wondered how you fire someone after only one year on the job, but Morris is making a convincing case.

It’s hard for Joe to decipher just what Bryan and Joel think because, short of a radio host claiming they were involved with a felonious financier, Bryan and Joel are very good poker players.

    Joe,
I am new to your site, but as a Bucs fan, I have to commend you for the informative articles that are posted here. One example is the Steve white article on the tight ends. His insight explains questions I had about the O-Line that was never explained by the so called coach. Speaking of the (non) coach, he is in the paper today calling out the whole O-Line. That seems to be the way he deflects attention from his own ineptness. That guy is so bad I call him Radio (after the movie) because he knows not what he is doing, accepts blame for nothing, accepts congrats if the kid does throw a touchdown, and no matter how bad the team plays, keeps his headphones on and grins. Hopefully, If there is any brain matter left in a Glazers head, this guy will be gone “before” the end of the season.

Thanks so much for checking Joe out and thank you for the compliments. Joe has always believed he can inform Bucs fans while also be entertaining.

By all means tell your friends about Joe!

I have to say that Coach Morris does take responsability. He also calls out the team when they are playing bad as well, but every week he says the coaching staff needs to prepare the team better. He says he needs to do this as well. The Pewter Report usually puts his entire press conference on their site, maybe some people should read the entire thing instead of what is on TBO. I am not sdaying he is the greatest coach ever or that he has done a great job in his first year as a head coach. I am one that beleives he has the potential and they should have left him at DC for a year or two. I am just saying everyone jumops on the guy no matter what he says.

Joe, this is not directed at you or your site, you guys do a great job and I find your articles very entertaining. I just wish the fans read everything, not just bits and pieces or what they hear on a 20 second radio sound bite.

Sorry for the errors in the above post…not enough coffee yet.

That’s not wholly accurate. Rather than read the transcript that Scott Reynolds and his elfs upload on his site — which is typed by the Bucs media relations staff — watch the video on Buccaneers.com. The Bucs media relations staff heavily edits Raheem the Dream’s comments in the transcripts, which Joe has documented more than a couple of times.

Trust Joe, reading Raheem the Dream’s transcript is not the full story. The video on Buccaneers.com is the whole story.
