Josh Freeman Speaks

December 20th, 2009

Bucs rookie quarterback Josh Freeman spoke on the Bucs radio network after the game and was a relieved man.

“Wins are so hard to come by in this league. The defense gave us good field position all day.

“I don’t know how many plays are yards it was [on the first drive of the second half]. We kept the chains moving, it might have been six minutes. We were wearing the [Seattle] defense out. Then our defense was getting three and outs. It was a great start to the second half.

“I felt comfortable for sure. I’m not sure what you want me to compare it to. The offensive line protected me well and I was getting more comfortable with our schemes. Like that long play to Antonio Bryant, things were clicking a little bit better.

“All I wanted [for Christmas] was to win football games.”
