Chucky’s In Washington!

Hey Bruce, lets go crash the White House tonight. If those two dolts can slip in without being noticed, we can sneak in. Hell, you got connections, your brother was a senator, bro.

"Hey Bruce, let's go crash the White House tonight. If those two dolts can slip in without being noticed, we can sneak in. Hell, you got connections, your brother was a senator, bro'."

Peter King of SI.com has reported that a day after Bruce Almighty was hired by Redskins owner/tyrant Danny Snyder, Chucky is in Washington.

But before you jump to a conclusion like Joe did, remember Chucky works for BSPN’s Monday Night Football and the crew pulls into the city on a Friday for production meetings each week.

The Redskins host the Giants Monday night.

But how delicious of an irony is this that Chucky shows up to cover a team he’s largely regarded as working for next season?

The white smoke coming out of the chimney at Redskins Park. You saw Bruce Allen get the GM job there Thursday. You know Bruce Allen and a certain former coach with a haircut like Dwight Schrute’s were joined at the hip in Tampa and produced the Bucs’ only Super Bowl victory over. Guess who’s coming to the Park today to prep for ESPN’s Monday-nighter against the Giants? That’s right. Jon Gruden.

Whoops! Mr. King made a major screw-up there. Can anyone pick out the error?

Bruce Allen had nothing to do with the Super Bowl win after the 2002 season. Almighty joined the Bucs in 2004. Idiot.

  2. Joe Says:

    Correct Mark. Good job.

  3. Jeff Says:

And that he says, over instead of ever.
Hey, I’m late to the party, I got it, I just didn’t want to bite on Marks victory.

But really, doesn’t that screw up by King give you a glimpse into the positive vibe that MSMers probably have about the Gru/Allen combo?

I guess no one should tell them about the atrocious FA class of 2004 and the bad drafts that plagued the franchise since Bruce Almighty took the reigns. Maybe we can get Washington to take Hickey off of our hands too.

That said, give me the Magic Man over Dumbinik any day of the week.

Kirwan and his partner on Sirius NFL radio say Gruden won’t be hired by Syder. It’ll be Shanahan, they say.

  6. BigMacAttack Says:

I think it all comes down to if Schnibby will allow Grudes to draft a QB, and who that QB is (Tebow).

Chris Landry on “The Big Dog’s” show is saying the same thing. Landry claims he has spoken to Chucky recently and that Chucky doesn’t want to coach next year.

That’s sure easy to say when you’re getting paid $5 million to pick your nose.

Given the fact that Landry spoke with Chucky and that Pat Kirwan and Bruce Almighty are best friends, it seems that Chucky will annoy us on Monday nights for another season.

I wish we had chucky back I really miss him and have a lot of man LOVE for him…..

  9. Al Says:

I miss coaches who were individuals. I think alot of these new coaches are just robots from the NFL. I understand when your new you have to follow protocol but man I’d like some John Mckay quotes from raheem. Chucky atleast had alot of fire on the sidelines and was entertaining to watch.

I think Shanahan will be hired. I just don’t think Gruden will be coaching next season.

The radio world is fascinating. Duemig has Landry back on his show after he was guilty of plagiarism. And also Duemig brought Florio back after Florio stated that Duemig go get drunk (referring of course to Duemig’s repeated DUIs) and kill some people on the roads. I actually Florio was way out of line on that one. That was amusing though when they were feuding.
