Bucs = C-

December 8th, 2009

If Joe were to grade the Bucs in their loss to the Panthers, he would give the Bucs a “C.” The Bucs, with the exception of five interceptions, played well.

But Joe is not Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com. Prisco graded the Bucs out with a C- for the loss.

Josh Freeman moved the ball, but he made some bad decisions inside the 20. Five interceptions is a lot to overcome for a young passer. The defense actually played a decent game to keep the Bucs around.

Joe believes that in Sunday’s loss, that was the best the team had played all year outside of the win over Green Bay.

    It wasn’t too many weeks ago the bucs were graded f’s I’m glad they are improving

    I don’t understand how a loss can be anything but an “F”. That’s like giving a surgeon a C when the patient dies. “Wow doc, that’s a heck of a lot better than last week when the patient also died.”

    Sorry, I guess I’m in a pretty foul mood. A 1-11 record has that effect on me.

    Actually while Freeman threw the picks I blame the OFFENSIVE PLAY CALLER for continuing to have Freeman pass after the 2nd INT.

    Don’t the Bucs have any running backs?

    Didn’t anyone else, besides me, watch Ward break a 15 yard run in the 3rd quarter?

    Was it just me or didn’t I see Williams break a 12+ run as well?

    So why call a pass on 1st and 10 from the 20-yard line?

    This kid is a rookie and they make mistakes – you shouldn’t have to rely on Freeman to win these games in only his 5th start. It’s not like he’s Brett Farve.

    Plus you gotta LOVE calling a fullback dive play when the coaches don’t even know who the heck is in the game!
