“We Played Great Defense At The End.”

September 27th, 2009

Raheem the Dream needs to calm down. As he exited the field just after the half when the Giants missed a pooch kick of a field goal, Raheem the Dream tells the Bucs radio network that, “We played great defense at the end.”

Huh??? Great defense? The freaking Giants marched down the field on your defense, thanks in large part to your defense being unable to tackle. If Manning doesn’t throw behind a receiver, or the kicker doesn’t yack, you’d be down by three scores.

Coming back down to earth, Raheem the Dream confessed it was the worst offensive of football for the Bucs all year. Not sure how it could get worse. No first downs. That says it all.

OMG – Gaines Adams is still alive and makes a TFL! could the Bucs make the Giants go 3&out?

Nope they give up a 1st down pass as Eli sits in the pocket sipping a Caybrew

Wow, right about now would be a good time to bring in Mccown…oops nevermind. Another dumb move among countless others. Absolute incompetence.

  7. JK Says:

yeah mr lucky put jj in the game and we can start running him out of town like we do all quarterbacks.

3 min in 3rd Q and I have a Gaines sighting – he ran right past Manning allowing eli to go for a 1st down. Nice containment Adams…

Hey I heard Barrett Rudd’s name called for a change – I’m so glad the Glazers forked over big bucks to extend HIS contract.

Why is everyone blaming this on the players? We do have a coach that’s supposed to have them ready. It’s evident that there is no motivation, pride or anything that shows anyone is playing for anything more than a paycheck. What do you expect when you cut every player and coach that has any experience.

well i guess the bucs defense will look good against Giants 5th string offense

So, I was pretty much on the money when before preseason I said ” We can get Leftwich mediocrity out of who we already have on the roster in Son of Bob”. We probably could have pressured him into renogiation at a lower salary. I also again question the decision to pick Freeman, who might be years away from starting while Stafford and Sanchez seem to fitting in nicely. I’m not suggesting that we had a chance to get either one of them just that next year will be a much better crop of possible day one starters and it’s apparent now that we may have the #1 pick in the draft next year or at least a top 5 pick which puts us in the running for anyone of the prospects next year that were probably worthy of a look in this years draft. Hell, give me USF’s Daniels over Lefty! I definitely think JJ should get the nod. He at least has a chance to make something happen with his feet.
