Brooks On Pats Radar

September 16th, 2009

Now the Boston Herald is citing an unnamed source reporting that the Patriots are considering signing Derrick Brooks to fill their latest hole at linebacker.

One would have to imagine Brooks might be willing to lower his salary demands for a chance to jump on board the veteran Patriots, which are a virtual lock for the playoffs.

Playing for the fashioned-challenged and ethics-challenged Bill Bellicheat might also excite Brooks, considering the opportunity to soak in some of Bellicheat’s defensive genius.

Joe can almost hear John Lynch on the phone to his friend Bellicheat right now.

Brooks can play, but the last 2 Bucs to go to NE, well, it didn’t pan out too well for Lynch and A. Smith.
    I’m just sayin’….

    Don’t forget Joey Galloway.

Also, Russ Hochstein was tossed to the curb by Chucky yet I think he started for a couple of Patriots Super Bowl teams.

Galloway is still on the Patriots.
Also just saw Brooks is signing on with ESPN2’s show First Take.

Brooks in the booth is a whole lot better than Brooks in a saints uniform. 😉
