Raheem The Dream is sticking to his plan. A starting QB will be named before Thursday's preseason opener against Miami.

Joe wants Raheem The Dream to give Byron Leftwich and Luke McCown one more week to showcase their abilities before naming a starter. But the head coach says he’ll have none of that.

“We’ll take everything into account. …This was the final exam. We’ll name a QB this week and get ready for Miami,” Raheem The Dream said on the Buccaneers Radio Network following the game.

Luke McCown gave his humble take on the competition, as Joe brought you earlier.

Byron Leftwich, however, was a little more straightforward.

“I’m very confident in what I did all training camp and the first two preseason games,” Lefwich told the Buccaneers Radio Network. ” Whatever the decision is I’ll live with it, but I’m very confident.”
