Raheem: Brooks Will Work For The Bucs

August 14th, 2009

Earlier this year Joe broke the story about how Bryan and Joel offered Derrick Brooks a job in the Bucs organization shortly after he was released.

Bucs coach Raheem the Dream seems to be of the mind that Brooks will work for the Bucs… whenever he quits playing.

Appearing on Sirius NFL Radio’s “Movin’ The Chains” with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan broadcast live from One Buc Place Thursday, Raheem the Dream talked about many things including Brooks.

Ryan asked Raheem the Dream how difficult it was to let Brooks go and Morris talked about how Brooks still is involved with the Bucs.

“Derrick has talked to everybody. He’s talked to me. He’s talked to Dominik. This is his franchise. He may not be at practice but he’s here. He’s here in spirit. He will come back and work for us in some capacity.”

Other tidbits from Morris’ interview:

* On Gaines Adams: “Teams will go after Gaines Adams until he gets it down. He will see a lot of two-tight end sets.”

* On Cadillac Williams: “I’m not going to be stupid. I’ll wait until the third preseason game to play him.”
