Pacman Jones??? Dear God, NO!

July 10th, 2009

This waste of human flesh has no business being near One Buc Palace unless it's in an Orient Road jail cell

Though there is scant news coming out of One Buc Palace these days as the countdown to training camp is winding down, that doesn’t mean Bucs general manager Mark Dominik is sleeping in each day.

In fact, it’s very possible the Bucs could add some players between now and the end of the month when the Bucs report to camp. Anwar Richardson of the Tampa Tribune lists some potential candidates, including names that have been tossed about and discussed often, like Plexiglass Burress and Marvin Harrison.

But one player Richardson throws out nearly had Joe falling out of his chair. The notorious piece of human debris Pacman Jones.

Adam “Pacman” Jones, CB – Tampa Bay Abiq Talib, Ronde Barber and Elbert Mack are good corners, but the addition of Jones could solidify this unit. He actually had a trouble-free offseason, plus few realize Jones is only 25-years old. Tampa Bay has turned around many troubled players and Jones could be a solid nickel cornerback.

Hurry up Dominik! Sign this guy. He’s been “trouble-free” for seven months. My, what a solid citizen he has turned into!

Can you imagine having this guy playing within walking distance of the clothing-optional establishments on Dale Mabry Highway? The strippers would run out of the places when they saw this dirtbag come in he’s such bad news. Talking about throwing the fox into the hen house!

The Bucs are trying to — no, begging — people to buy tickets, even four-game season ticket packages. The last thing the Bucs need is for this walking felony to be on the roster.

Richardson also suggested the Bucs should take a look at wide receiver Reche Caldwell. Joe doesn’t give a damn where Caldwell went to high school but Joe does think it would be a nice gamble: Caldwell won’t be an expensive signing.

Make it rain at Mon’s. Have Pacman room with Stevens during training camp.
