Could The Bucs Use Michael Pittman?

May 18th, 2009

Just like Joe, shady player agent Drew Rosenhaus likes Twitter. Actually, Rosenhaus likes it more than Joe. Yesterday Rosenhaus touted one of his clients, former Bucs running back Michael Pittman.

I hung out with Michael Pittman this weekend and he looks ready to play. His arms are as big as ever.

Pittman is a free agent still looking for work. Last year in spot duty with the Broncos Pittman and his Popeye arms averaged over four yards a carry and over 10 yards a catch. Provided Cadillac Williams can’t return from his second knee injury — so far reports suggest he will — might the Bucs look for a solid and versatile backup?

Or is Pittman too old? That’s the only reason Joe can figure out why the Bucs dumped Warrick Dunn.

The Buc’s don’t need Pitman. He would fit in quickly and won’t take a league minimum salary. The Buc’s need someone who has no experience and is willing to take practice squad money. That’s how they roll.

MTM, I couldn’t agree more. Pittman also is a Gruden supporter so there is no way.

MTM – Hey be careful how you talk about the Cap Champion Glazers!!!
