Mike Florio, the creator, curator and overall guru of ProFootballTalk.com, claims the Bucs are locked in on selecting NFL bust-in-waiting Josh Freeman.

Per a league source, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are leaning strongly toward drafting Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman.
But the Bucs fear they might have to trade up to get him, for fear that the Jets would take him at No. 17.
God help us all.

I think i will have to continue to root against these guys if they can not make any choices than this, maybe gruden was not the whole reason we sucked so bad it was these idots in the front office. We could have had mike jenkins and Desean Jackson in the draft last year, dont need another repeat of that debacle, the guy that we got was awesome but dexter jackson is not anywhere close to anything worth watching, Everette Brown should be the pick, heck anyone else but this clown, NO JOSH Freeman

On second thought, Florio’s “sources” are probably his blog site meter that shows his hits go up when angry Bucs fan thinks that their team is going to make a giant draft blunder for the 2nd year in a row. He threw the Jets thing in there for good measure.

If the Buc’s draft a bunch of projects. They won’t have to pay out as much money. And they will have the rebuilding tag line. To help keep fans at bay.
That works for some teams. But the Buc’s scouting has been aweful the last 3 to 4 yrs. Thats why they are in the position they are in.
