Trueblood Feeling Heat

The nasty right tackle is upset with his sloppy play

Our self-described "nasty" right tackle is upset by his sloppy play

The Tampa Tribune has a story today about Jeremy Trueblood feeling the heat from the coaching staff for his sloppy play last week.

Trueblood was flagged three times – two false starts and one holding – during the 16-13 loss at Denver, contributing to Tampa Bay’s season total of 321 penalty yards, third-most in the NFL. Trueblood also missed Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey on a blitz, which resulted in quarterback Brian Griese’s elbow injury and the return of Jeff Garcia as this week’s starting quarterback.

Joe can’t be too upset with the big right tackle who considers himself a “nasty” player. We wish no pain upon Brian Griese, but if Trueblood’s missed block resulted in Garcia’s return, then it was for the greater good in Bucsland.
