Joe wishes Joey Galloway would just shut it down the rest of preseason so he can play against New Orleans to open the regular season.

Despite returning to practice earlier this week, it doesn’t appear wide receiver Joey Galloway will play in Saturday night’s final home preseason game against Jacksonville. Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times noted Galloway did not practice Thursday and will not play.

It’s not clear whether he has suffered a setback in his recovery. Gruden indicated there was some sort of plan that included Galloway not practicing today.

Chucky did claim, however, Galloway will be ready to go full speed on Monday.

“Yeah, that’s our plan. He should be ready to go early next week. He should be ready to go when we practice again on Monday.”

Joe isn’t holding his breath.

Look, If it takes Galloway the rest of the preseason to get ready for New Orleans in two weeks, Joe just wishes Galloway would shut it down. The Bucs cannot afford to be without him.
