Defensive Turnovers A Must

Look, Joe’s not paid to spin things for the Bucs. He has to call things as he sees them, which unnerves many Bucs fans because they want Joe to tell them what they want to hear.

Barring a total and complete meltdown unforeseen by sober minds, the Saints will beat the Bucs tomorrow. If you are still alive in a survivor pool, picking the Saints or Eagles tomorrow is about as safe as a bet as you will come upon in the NFL.

The Saints need a win to get in the playoffs. They are a far different team at home. The Bucs are, well, the Bucs, with four of their key skill positions being manned by reserve players including quarterback, tailback and No. 2 and 3 receivers.

Of course, this is sports and just about anything can happen, even the illogical. For the Bucs to have any prayer of beating the Saints in the Superdome tomorrow, the Bucs must force at least one turnover, notes the Custodian of Canton, eye-RAH! Kaufman of the Tampa Tribune.

@IKaufmanTBO: Memo for the Bucs defense Sunday: Sean Payton is 24-0 when the Saints do not commit a turnover.

Yes, turnovers and scoops and scores and pick-sixes can go a long way to pulling off the upset of the ages and all but promising a return engagement in 2014 for the Greg Schiano regime.

The only thing giving Joe hope is how the Rams (of all teams) pistol-whipped the Saints a couple of weeks ago. The Bucs have a similar bruising defense as the Rams, and force more turnovers than the Rams.

Then again, the Saints laid that egg on the road, which is what they often do.

    I don’t buy it

Our team if they can play to their potential is very capable if beating the Saints tomorrow and playing spoiler.

I actually expect it, even though if I’m being honest at this point I might probably would like the better draft slot.

Don’t be so quick to fold – Joe

Winning this game won’t do anything for us.

Winning the final game last year against the Falcons didn’t carry over the momentum to 2013 did it?

No it didn’t; I agree with you. The “winning the last game will provide momentum for next year” is very overblown.

Players will be playing hard for their jobs tomorrow and coaches will be coaching for their jobs. Because of that I look for the Bucs to give a good effort tomorrow. As much as I would like to see the Glazers blow this up before things here can sink any lower, I can never root against the Bucs. Hopefully though this will be Schiano’s last game as Buc’s head coach and the Glazers step up and show the Buc fans that they really do have a commitment to winning

Any given team on any given Sunday. Nah, still going to be pulling for the Bucs big time.

The college coaching will be evident tomorrow.

    Saints 20
    Rutgers 0

    Bye, Bye Schiano.

    Hello Johnny!

Schiano goes out with a wimper, not a bang.

Why is there no logic here fromghe Schiano haters?

We have a rookie backup QB because Josh Freeman INTENTIONALLY and SPITEFULLY, attempted to sink our team this year.

He was upset we tried to sign Carson Palmer. He was pissed that we drafted a QB. Josh and his spoiled rotten ass was mad because we didnt extend him.

Them we lost Mike Williams, Karl Nicks, Doug Martin, and 4 TE’s. Thats 3 Pro-Bowl level starters on offense.

Our offense was decimated by injuries.

Our defense was GREAT this season!

Our offense just couldnt keep them off the field!!

@joe- what is our time of possession average for the year? Worst?
