Of course, the subject of the day is the mess down in Miami where, reportedly, Dolphins coaches ordered a Code Red on offensive tackle Jonathan Martin. Virtually every sports radio show is discussing the subject, and virtually every NFL player is asked about rookie hazing.

Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp weighed in when he appeared on the Dull Patrick Show this morning. In so many words, Sapp blamed a lack of reasoned leadership in the Miami locker room for things getting so out of hand, and had an example of an incident in the Bucs locker room with the notorious walking holding penalty, Kenyatta Walker. Sapp explained how he nipped a potential ugly incident from escalating thanks to Walker acting (?) stupid.

“Kenyatta Walker was sent a pair of pink panties and he showed them in the locker room and the media came in and ran to his locker. I snatched him up and went back into the equipment room, looked him into the face and said, ‘Listen son, don’t ever do that again.’ He was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I said, ‘I know you think it’s funny. But in this locker room, you represent us all. Once they say you wear panties, guess what I wear? I wear a pair, too. So Brooks does too, and so does Lynch. Don’t even think about it. Don’t bring that in this locker room because we are men and this is a brotherhood of men. And we will go about it in a real, respectful manner.”
