    no video!?

  2. Terraj Says:

Never trust new york media when it comes to a new york team. Everyone’s trying to make a name for themselves whether they have real news or not. The last month should be a prime example of that.

  3. RCH Says:

Sounds like a nice wish list by the Jets. The Bucs better not give up the farm with all those picks not worth it.

So in short, another “news” post that contains no news…this all Revis all the time is really wearing thin. How about covering coaches’ views of some other parts of the team like how the team plans to use Barron and Goldson given that both are strong vs. the run but weaker vs. the pass. How do you utilize two strong safeties on the field at the same time?

The Revis saga is shaping the Bucs offseason. That’s not on Joe. That’s on the Bucs. Joe has plenty of non-Revis content on the site. As for Bucs’ coaches views, the team has yet to make its new secondary coach available, and Greg Schiano won’t dive into meaningful Xs and Os at this point in the offseason. Also, Goldson is not weak against the pass at all. –Joe

Kind of hard to talk to assistants when they are not just off limits to the fourth estate, they are in round-the-clock draft meetings.

I’m not seeing any video…and I had to refresh 4 times for the homepage to show more that ads.

  7. Gus Says:

Also anyone complaining about the Revis news…..you can skip past it. I don’t read half of them. But Joe does a great job of putting other news on his site. Keep it up Joe!

  8. bucfanjeff Says:

    They can keep Revis.
I would rather we go about our business and re-enter the Revis sweepstakes next offseason.

  9. Gus Says:

@Ambush where are you getting your info. Goldson is considered a top 10 coverage safety. QB rating for passes throw his way was 44.8 last year. So weak against the pass…..I think not!

  10. Jason A Says:

How bout trading up to get D. Milliner and then trying to trade back into the second with a player and one of our 4th round picks? Thoughts?

  11. T in Orlando Says:

    @ Jason

I don’t think we should trade anything to move up to draft Milliner, he’s a good to very good prospect, but not great. He’s the best prospect in a class that has no Top Flight talent at the position. Most other drafts, he’d likely be a mid-1st to early-2nd round pick.

If he’s there at 13, which isn’t likely, go ahead an draft him, otherwise the drop off is talent/potential is not that steep between Milliner and players like Rhodes, Trufant or even Banks.

I do like the idea of using one of our 4ths to move back into round 1 or round 2, if there’s a player we like there. Getting 3 picks in the top 2 rounds is almost always a good thing.

  12. Jason A Says:

Corner, defensive tackle and tight end, you must think these will be are top three picks in no specific order

  13. Jason A Says:

Then prolly a right tackle as well

  14. Mike M Says:

Speaking of other non-Revis related news and RT being a moderate need. What is wrong with at least looking at Clabo and Winston?

  15. Jason A Says:

We defanelty have the cap space mike…I wish they would pull the trigger on one of them

  16. Miracle Says:

With the resigning of Wright and draft coming up. I don’t see us giving up more than this years 2nd round pick and that is all for Revis.

Here’s the biggest reason. Jets owner, Woody Johnson, told the GM in the interview that he HAD to trade Revis. No ifs, ands, or buts.. Revis must go.

The media likes to spin that the Jets control the negotiation but the Jets don’t have a single bite of leverage. Why would we trade our 1st.. let alone a package a of picks to compete with ourselves?

Throw out the 2nd round pick and tell him it has to be done immediately in order to talk contract with the better than Jets owner negotiator Darrelle Revis.
