I know I’m Tebow’s press agent @ this point, but it’s amazing that I hear “The Jets are going nowhere, have an awful team, & no QB”—while the Broncos in 2011 were the 2nd worst team, their coach & GM (John Fox & John Elway) didn’t pick the 1st round QB sitting on the bench, the 1st round QB showed nice promise in 3 starts in a regular offense (82.1 rating), the fact that they’d gone 6-19 with Kyle Orton…& they thought “well…we’re 1-4, *we’re not going anywhere*, there’s a stud QB in Andrew Luck in the draft…might as well play that 1st round QB on the bench we don’t like”…& the team went to the 2nd round of the playoffs, with their unwanted QB posting a career QB rating one point less than the stud QB they ACTUALLY wanted (Luck)…I’m just stunned how these manly/know-it-all types can be proven wrong, over & over.
Christopher- you’re right! They’ve become so enamoured with measurables- that they ignore the most important factor in the greatest players.- heart!
By today’s standards, Joe Montana and Kurt Warner would never have been given a chance.
Tebow has been a winner on every level.
Yet they waste money on worthless players like Talib, Retard Jackson, etc, because they have “measurables”
He’s a riot. Tells it like it is. The jets won’t win 5 games. It’s not just Revis, they’ve lost a ton of players and suffered terrible mismanagement. No team has ever traded their best player–and a probable Hall of Famer and not declined.
