Eric LeGrand Wastes No Time With Bucs Gear

May 2nd, 2012

This photo sort of says it all — former Rutgers defensive lineman Eric LeGrand, who will never play another snap of football after being paralyzed while making a tackle on a kickoff in a game against Army, reacting just hours after news he has signed with the Bucs.

Welcome to Tampa Bay, Eric.

Great gesture here by coach Schiano. Love to see this kind of stuff.

  14. aj Says:

Vilma chopped for the year. Now we know why New Orleans was scooping up so many linebackers. That’s a bit harsh, to me, one year for a player can easily be a career nowadays.

  15. Tristan Berry Says:

I’m about as broke as broke can be and I’ve never been able to afford a jersey. T-shirts, sure, but I’ve never had the dough for a jersey. But if they put a LeGrand jersey out there, I will save up to buy that, whatever it takes.

  16. st. louis Bucs fan Says:

incredible gesture by the Coach and team! wishing you the best Eric!!!!!!! the Bucs should put out a 52 LeGrand jersey and 1/2 the proceeds got to Eric and the other 1/2 to charity!!! i saw the play that Eric was injured on and my heart sank for him and his family!!! coach Shiano is an amazing HUMAN being. i believe in Karma and this coach seems full of good Karma. put out a 52 jersey on the Bucs site and ill buy one for every member of my family!!!!!!! LOVE THIS TEAM,,,,, BUC IT IM OUT!!!

  17. Vince Says:

Im not usually a “jersey guy”, I more prefer my Bucs Polo. But if they put out his jersey I will purchase it and wear it proudly.

  18. Matt Says:

  22. Cesar Torres Says:

Will be one of my best Bucs players even if he never played single game.

  23. pierat Says:

The glazers could donate a % of each jerssey they sale to the spinal charity he is part of too. Not only classy, but would be great PR for them. Hopefully that would not be their main goal if they did that though.
