Zuttah Talks About Greg Schiano

January 26th, 2012

Soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Bucs guard Jeremy Zuttah sat in with the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig, this afternoon on WDAE-AM 620 to talk all things Greg Schiano.

Why Zuttah? Well, his college career was spent under new Bucs coach Schiano at Rutgers before Zuttah was drafted by the Bucs in the third round in 2008. You can listen to the full interview by clicking the link above.

On Schiano, Zuttah said, “he cares most importantly about doing everything the right way. That’s going to be big for a lot of the [Bucs] players. That’s what he’s going to harp on.”

Didn’t listen. I hope he said, “I’m no LG nor am I anywhere close to a starting Center.” “I really hope Buc fans stop thinking I’m a good replacement for Faine.” “Neither of us are quality starters.” Hopefully the Bucs’ keep me around for depth, because that’s what I’m good at. Being a solid multi-position back-up.

I think zuttah is a WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better c then a lg. C is his natural position when he’s playing for faine were so much better at that position.

    Agree, Faine is done.

That “C” on his chest should be slid over one spot to the right, on Davin.

  4. jvato24 Says:

Dude … you must not watch football or Bucs football much to say Zuttah is not a good Center … He is as physical as Faine now, maybe more and gets to the 2nd level quickly ….

    Keep baaaing … SHEEP

  5. knucknbuc Says:

The only reasons why faine is starting over zuttah at c is because of his pay check and we don’t have a viable option to play lg. Zuttah can literally play every spot on the line at least adequately, with c being the spot I believe he is above average at. Thats why either in the draft or fa we have to find a lg so zuttah can move over to c. Faine either take a paycut or get cut.

Doing everything the right way…sounds like something he learned from Mr. Paterno

The more I hear about Schiano, the more I like him.

  7. Macabee Says:

George Johnson, DE, now on IR also played for Schiano at Rutgers.

Rumors bucs may ask permission to interview cardinals WR coach John Mcnulty about OC positition. He used to be OC for rutgers under Schiano. I hope that he just runs the DAMN BALL!!

No, no, I watch lots of Bucs’ football. Usually at 1 pm because they haven’t earned a spot at 4–or 8 or on MNF. Z can play Center. My favorite part is when he sends the ball far left or far right so Free can’t look down field because he’s too busy finding the football, and using his big wingspan to gather it. Even better when Josh stamps the ground over and over begging for the football and then the refs call delay of game, because Z hasn’t snapped it. Good times. I don’t think Faine is worth keeping, or worth the patch on his jersey–but I don’t want to fill a void with a 2nd stringer. That was what I hoped was the humor in my post. Guess I’ll stick to my day job.

They could get a center in the draft. The USF centre graduated in November and will be entering the draft. I only know this because the guy graduated in buisness studies the same day my girl friend graduated. guy sang the national anthem, and was impressive. Thoughts?
